Any company who is remotely interested in buying BTF. TALK to ex- employees first.
I don't think a comnpany with this much dishonesty (oh and DEBT) can ever come back, unless you get rid of all those old managers that have NO education and are in management roles. I no longer work at this dump. I was in management and couldn't believe how corrupt and dishonest these people are. It was unbelievable. The guy Jay, from Weston, who works at Bally, I know which GM you are talking about, all those GM's are full of themselves and are idiots! Future companies actually humoring taking over BTF, do the research. Let this place burn to the ground. Get all those managers out. They think they they are safe because they have been their for more than 15 yrs. Please, they haven't even seen what a real business environment is like. LET BTF Fail. They deserve it.

yeh, you sound educated enough....not! In my opinion the company is obviously going in the right direction if you no longer work for them.

Anyone interested in purchasing BTF should definitely do their homework. I was with BTF for several yrs in mgmt in several different states. I developed several other very successful employees who I couldn't influence to stay once they reached mgmt and saw all the BS. BTF has some great employees, but they are few and far between. I ran into far more employees who lacked fitness or business knowledge (many were in mgmt) combined with corrupt practices and uncaring personalities. BTF definitely paid well and is still a step ahead of the competition in customer needs research, but when you can't keep quality employees to hand those needs....what does your future hold? High turnover is not a sign of a good company. I have since left and started my own facility and everyday I have BTF employees asking for positions because they can't stand it anymore. So I thank BTF in many ways, but it doesn't look good. Good Luck!

Obviously you know nothing about this company. Have you worked for them? Why would you stick up for such a corrupt company? You are the one that sounds STUPID! Do you have any idea why they are in so MUCH debt? I really think you don't have a clue...

Hey Bally Girl, Are you in management? If you answer yes and are a GM. You have got to know you're a joke. BTF hires 22 yr old kids who know NOTHING about management (most are not very well educated). The only goal that they are told is to get your staff to sell as many memberships as possible at ANY price.
I feel bad that you have blinders on. Like the blog says above. You'll get yours and look foolish.
hahaha, thanks for the laugh.

screw you and your company...your quote, "So go somewhere else we don't want you anyway", is exactly why Bally's is going under. It's obvious that the employees/management don't give a care about anything but the money, and will do anything to get it, until now, when memberships are dropping and all those class-action lawsuits are creeping up your hole...but I'm not bitter, I'll give you $5 when I see you on the corner...good luck, sweetie.

I Agree, Bally's is a Dump and getting worse by the minute! I witnessed the transformation first hand during my 10 year tenure there as a member. I believe, as well as many others that Bally's as a whole suffers from lack of good management (club level and upper management) and deceit. There is no quick fix when corruption is your leader. I now workout at LA Fitness. It's unbelievably better.

Wow there are some bitter people out there. Listen if you feel Bally's didn't treat you fairly as an employee maybe your right or maybe your just another one of those people who doesnt want to do shit but feels that your entitled to success and lots of money and promotions. Most employees have the same attitude as most of you which is probably why they are having so many problems. Your attitudes are a cancer to a company. When you are in management there is always a bunch of employees that feel your a moron and they could do so much better, but the truth is thats as far as they with ever go with it is talking about it. So get over it you don't work there anymore so it's only a matter of time before your bitching about the place your at know, if your not already.

one problem I had with them was when I was in NJ and a Medical Intern they hawked memberships. But when I end up in even a place like Myrtle Beach they are NOWHERE to be found. We dont all live in big cities ya know!

also "Vertical clubs" in places like bloomfield hills mi are Ballys but charge WAY more than those covered under "lifetime membership."

a shwartza with bad breath probatly reformed crack dealer tried to bait and switch me in the Southifeld club 20 years ago. "did you REALLY think you'd get all this for x dollars/month? there are restrictions!"

go back to school, Bro if you can even READ that is

I have been a BTF member for more than 20yrs. I too witnessed the transformation and have to agree BTF club is is nothing short of a dying image of what it used to be.
I now own a private club focused on specific market demographic. From a business perspective; whenever a business has to work hard to retain current customers because membership is not flowing in---it's only a matter of time before its door closes.
BTF is just coming out of its 2nd chapt. 11 and already have 30 franchise stores in an effort to stay alive. The problem is always with leadership---how in the world did Paul Toback went from a white house aide to president Clinton to CEO of BTF---and you dare wonder about top level corruption!!!! Young lady, whoever you are, please don't bank your future on BTF cause am sure they will drop you even before their door closes when you can't trick members into lifetime memberships any more!!!!
