Re-zone residential area to the size of a mobile home park, make the city a place to work not lay around in a dwelling selling and using illegal drugs !

Yea, like mobile home parks are drug free zones. Mobile home parks in Detroit would be killing zones. However, they could be fenced.

I would rather see it as cattle ranches or choice timber land.

To me it would be like going out West in the 1800s. I would gather up my kin and travel over there in a covered wagon. I would put in a homestake claim for 40 acres.

Things will be fine and not desolate like it is up north here, condos strip malls and such...

These old homes have nonrenewal resources in them, more like architectural salvage. A better solution would be to halt sprawl and have people come back into the city to make gorgeous homes - the land itself isn't impure the people make the land a great place or not a great place - if it is already desolate, that means that nothing is there. If we commit to coming in to make a community, that is what we will have. Razing is a no confidence vote for the city - we already have had that for years - how about a change.
