Its too bad that the owner of the building is a money grapping POS from Pakistan!!! He is such a douche bag, camel riding, POS! Jerome beware that he is not happy you hired a former employee of his to run your store, you are with the ememy now that he knows this.

Save a lot will be a God send to Holly where low income people will benifit, second to Albion which is also a low income, agricultural community in which there is no opportunities for youth and no jobs to be had to raise a family and buy a home. But rest assured we have new sidewalks out to the welfare office and plenty of places where you can make minimum wages and try to survive. Places like save a lot and Wally World thrive in communities where people are poor and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

They are bathing in the sunshine State.

I would like a box of their Apple Fritter Doughnuts though.

The off spring I believe spent too much time with the doobies and partying. The oldies knew how to run a store and how to be community active.

Now we have Walmart.

Poor unless you work for the County or one of the Local Schools or Governments. Maybe your poor because of the above.

Not everyone gets hired by the State or local government....unless you are a friend of someone who works there, or family. You know...nepotism....that runs rampid in Orleans County. A hundred dollars can get you a lot of food at Save a lot.

Have they stopped using civil service tests in this county? Don't you have to score high to even get an interview? Or in your conspiracy-world are all the jobs just handed out? Please, don't let facts and logic enter into one of your discussions.

Sure take the exam . Score does not matter. If your a friend of the connected your in. Look at all the last names of who works for County, Towns , Villages. Then connect the family tree dots. All related one way or another or belong to the same clubs. And no colored's allowed.

Your wealth of knowledge on this subject is surely basis for many civil lawsuits for those who have been grieved by the system. I recommend you contact the State Attorney General and give him your information. Also, contact those who didn't get a position because someone who was not qualified was offered a position over someone qualified and advise them to seek legal counsel and sue the towns, villages, county and state.

Or you can sit back and piss and moan about something you know absolutely nothing about. Oh, and practice your racism. I see you have a start on that.

My knowledge is extensive. If the Attorney General was to Audit probably any munisipality in OC and look at job application records it would show in most cases the job was posted (by Law) but a family member or friend of the connected was awarded it. Racism? Tell me where there are any blacks working in government jobs in this county. Name the Towns, Villages? The Prison for sure is the only one. You must be a Liberal using the race card when you have lost a argument.

Getting back on the subject at hand, I think Jerome better start paying more attention to his Albion Save A Lot. I went in there today and found (3) gallons of fat free milk that expired 04/14/12. Come on Jerome you can do better than that.

Their offspring sucked? Dales opened in 1939 and gave back to this community for nearly 70 years. I think the whole family understood that giving back to your community is very important. I happen to know the offspring very well. They were putting in 80 hours a week and were very dedicated to their store and to the community. Save-A-Lot and Dales had a very friendly competition because they were both local hometown stores. Until Tops and Wal-Mart came into the picture and put a lot of good people out of a job. Dales was a family owned store with honest and hard-working people trying to help a community thrive.

RIP Dales/ you are partically correct. I knew the grandfather well. And the 3 brothers who operated the store did a fine job. 2 of Thier off spring were nothing of the sort though who took on the store after the brothers retired. One was a freakin' college drop out that partied so much he never graduated. His old man spent a bundle to get him there too. The past generations were dedicated to the store for sure, but the last generation didn't know much other than how to light a joint, party it up, keep the cops busy and hang with thieves and punks. Lucky they didn;t land in jail they gacve thier parents so much trouble growing up on Bank street. They got exactly what they deserved. The new library looks nice in its new location dont you think?\ The only thing I miss from Super Duper is the doughnuts.
