Lift the cap on Social Security payroll taxes, get rid of the fraud in Medicare and allow
Medicare to negotiate prices with the suppliers of drugs and medical equipment and the programs will last far into the future.

Mainly though, keep these economy-killing Republicans away from power.

Do we want another eight years of Bush-style
economic destruction? Then dump Mitts.

OBAMA'S LAWYER CHOKES AGAIN

The justices appeared to ready to allow a provision requiring police officers to check the immigration status of people they think are in the U.S. illegally.
The justices strongly suggested Wednesday they are not buying the Obama administration's argument that the state exceeded its authority, with Chief Justice John Roberts at one point saying he doesn't think the federal government even wants to know how many illegal immigrants are in the country.

"You can see it's not selling very well," Justice Sonia Sotomayor told Obama administration Solicitor General Donald Verrilli.

Romney had a good plan for Massachusetts back when he wasn't a tea-party stooge, but he had to go far right to romance the tea-party morons and get the nomination. Now that he has that sowed up he will begin to slither back towards the middle.
Mr. Flip-Flop will have to Flop-Flip.
But, can he flop-flip his way clear to the White House?

He would need the brain-dead vote. So I envision a close election.

The Sticky Finger Bandits in Congress would never go for a perfect solutions.

The Conservatives aren't trying to find solutions other than a solution to collapse the American Social Order and Safety Net.

The Nation doesn't want to eliminate either program and if it meant making more in terms of contributions they would option to do such to secure both programs.

One thing is appealing about eliminating Social Security and Medicare, the eradication of those programs would all but whip out the Conservative Base from the shores of America, lock stock and barrel.

Putting an end to their hip replacements and cataract surgeries would pretty much muzzled, and blind them and leaving them useless.

CBO: Obama Budget Hurts Economic Growth

From The Hill:

CBO estimates Obama’s 2013 budget plan would hit economic growth

By Erik Wasson – 04/20/12

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Friday that President Obama’s 2013 budget will hurt the economy in the long term, arguing the larger deficits it would produce would reduce the amount of capital available to businesses.

Who woke up the CBO? Why has it taken so long to figure this out?

After five years, the CBO says, the Obama proposals would reduce economic output by between 0.5 percent and 2.2 percent.

Which, given that our GDP is hovering around 2% means Obama’s proposals could put us back into a recession.(Not that we ever left.)

Larger deficits caused by the budget would cause the government to issue more bonds, sucking up private capital to finance its debts and thereby reducing the funds businesses could use to expand and hire, the CBO said. An increased tax on capital gains included in the president’s plan would also tend to reduce private capital, it says.

The hell you say! It’s almost as if somebody at the CBO has been taking a course in economics.

The GOP has one aim, to Collapse the Social Order and the Safety Net. There is no plan for substitution as the Republicans have proven over and over they're incapable of solutions.

Good try, but it's not a characteristic of the GOP to present reasonable solutions.

In American politics what's reasonable is replacing Republicans, period, point blank. You don't negotiate and shake hand with a Snake.

If true, and who would believe it wasn't? there is no need to bicker over the SS tax cut, make it permanent.

One thing does bother me however, cutting taxes solves nothing according to the Ds, while cutting taxes solves everything according to the Rs.

Both cut taxes and neither was a solution, other than reelection and hope of reelection.

Each points fingers at the other for the same act, that seems problematic until you understand the real act is buying our vote.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Aquarius

If you're a typical Aquarian you're often quite idealistic and today is no exception. You're wandering around on cloud nine, especially if you're thinking about a very special someone, and indulging in all sorts of deliciously romantic daydreams. Reality? You've no time for it right now, because it will intrude too much on your fantasies.
