A man from Collier County, Fla., says he was denied a new driver's license from the Department of Motor Vehicles because the department could not recognize a same-sex marriage license that he received after marrying his partner in Massachusetts, the Naples Daily News reported.

I agree and have been saying the exact same thing here for a very long time. Yet each time I point out FFC, I get severely criticized for it.

Just because FFC has never been applied to state marriage laws before, doesn't mean it isn't applicable, or that the federal courts, including SCOTUS, will not apply it in the future.

If they can slip the purportedly "dead" Amendment. IX in there somehow I'll be ecstatic. That one is like a key to the mentally imprisoned's gates.
