Polling places are on the wane

We have adequate polling places in Long Beach. Mine, just across the street. However, I've voted by mail every chance I could for years. There is NEVER a line, ballots don't run out, my vote remains completely confidential and I don't have to pick up the phone during the last two weeks of any election cycle.
It costs me currently, 42 cents. That's a tax I'm more than willing to pay to perform my civic duty in peace. |

I am very disappointed that we were shut out from voting at the poll this year. Not only is this a Presidential election, but it is a particularly historical Presidential election. The decision was made without public input, and was too late to protest in any effectual way. At the very least, people should have been allowed to vote at other local polls (not just drop your completed ballot off there). I'll be checking with my elected officials to see if it can be ensured that this doesn't happen again.
