Serious immigration enforcement would do more to help our schools than anything else being squabbled over.

The problems with schools go beyond unions and illegal immigrants. Our schools need to learn to teach a diversified group of children, our administrators need to learn to lead a diversified group of teachers, our universities need to overhaul their methods to prepare teachers to instruct and lead a diversified group of students, and our state needs to put their current funding into infrastructure, technology and accountability.

Vote for SB955!!

Legislation would free California school districts from the restriction of basing teacher layoffs solely on seniority and give districts the ability to consider need and effectiveness.

This would help with half of the problem. The other half is medical cost and pension reform.

You pretend the "problems... go beyond ... illegal immigrants."

But your obsession with the code word "diversity" makes your hidden agenda obvious.

You are simply demanding that gringos not only educate the endless hordes of alien invaders, but also cater to all the aliens' demands and learning disabilities.

Nice try, but we can't afford it. Tell your amigos they're going to have to start using birth control.

THAT is the most urgent education they need.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Cancer

With Mars and Saturn working in harmony, you'll find the support you need through friends or associates. Someone pitches in to help which will let you take a concrete step towards achieving your goals. There could however be a cost in terms of your emotional and domestic life because of what you're doing. Has responsibility taken you away from those you're close to? Try to make things up in another way.
