Hi, I am looking for Cindy A Johnson, wife (or daughter) of Robert A Johnson of Chualar.
In the 1980's years she live 424 college avenue in palo alto and was the precedent owner of an old 1958 car I recently bought, and I try to reconstitue the history of this car.

There's a Cindy Johnson who graduated from Palo Alto High School in 1970. In the 1977 Alumni Directory she is listed as Cindy Gobin, living Morgan Hill, CA.

I just checked the phone book, and neither Cindy or Robert are listed at that address.

Well, i have wrote to DMV and Palo Alto High school, wait and see.
about the informations i only want to contact Cindy Johnson to have the name of the precedent owner and the story of the car. In the US White Pages i have found the phone number of a C.Gobin at Morgan Hill and tried twice to phone, but nobody at home.
I will try tonight for the third time.

Well, i have got a phone with somebody in Cindy Gobin home at Morgan Hill.That lady saw me that Mrs Gobin-johnson never live in Palo Alto and never own a Triumph car. It was a wrong way !
I don't have answer from the DMV ? My last hopes is to get a contact with the Chualar Post Office ( could you help me to have an email for this ?)because Robert Johnson had a P.O box there in 1980.
The other way I will try is by Palo alto on line, somebody gave me this possibility on my direct email adress(i think that he is your contact Imho ?)Well, the search become diffficult and i am not sure to win. Palo alto high school and stanford university don't agree to give my email adress to their C.Johnson alumni.

I do not know where "Chualar" or their post office might be, so I can't help you there.

No surprise Palo Alto High School or Stanford will not release student information, as it is confidential.

You might try posting an online advertisement in the classified ads of the Palo Alto Daily News, or the Palo Alto weekly. The editors' name is Jay Thorwaldsen, and he might be able to put you in touch with historians in Palo Alto. Ask him if he will have a reporter do a human interest story on your car, and perhaps someone will remember the former owner.

Everyone is going to have the same question though - why do you need to contact the previous owner of this vehicle? Since it is a woman, and you are apparently a man, please don't be surprised if people are protective.

Hi Imho, well it's exact that i am a man but i am also at 14 000 km from california. As i told you i try to reconstitue the story of the car. I know now the last owner, this man bought the TR3 in 1980 to Cindy Johnson. What i would like to do is to know the owners between 1958 and 1980 but as the dealer is no longer the only way is to go back from 2008 to 1958.
This kind of old car need to have all its story, as well as a precious diamond or a exceptionnal old book and never mind i don't have bad minds.
All the owners of old english roadsters hope to have the full story of their cars that why they alson contact the british car heritage museum which can give you the date, the color and all specification of the car at the exit of the fabric but nothing after the dealer.

Put the zip code, 93925, into your search engine.
Chualar is a town, and I believe it is in Southern California.

Well, yes i know were is Chualar.I had already found this city with google earth. Do the post office of this city keep the informations about their customers when they leave the city ? If i could have the e-mùail of the director of this post office I would ask him about Robert Johnson who had a PO Box in the year 1980.

I doubt the U.S. Postal Service will give you any information, and any info they may have had for a forwarding address has expired over 25 years ago.

I think Jay Thorwaldsen is your best bet. He might be willing to have someone talk (or email you) about this story. If he publishes it, perhaps someone who knows the person you are looking for will contact him.
