"That is so true! I have a 7 year son that goes to a school and his teacher gives him tons of homework each week. He gets a package on Monday and he has to turn it in on Friday. This has been going on since Kindergarten. I feel the teacher are pushing the kids too hard. It is the teachers job to make sure they learn what they need to. That is why we put our kids in school. Why make them stress out more when they get home? Im talking about the elementary kids..

I am finding that the homework at this age is more for the parents and not the kids. My daughter is in 1st grade and she has about 10 minutes of homework per night. She get a packet on Monday, but if we work 10 minutes per night it all gets done. I think it's about consistency and it also helps improve writing skills and math skills. My daughter has improved tremendously with the little bit of homeworks she's had.

I do agree that any more than 10-30 minutes per night for kids under 4th grade level is too much. At that age it's more about practicing spelling, math, and reading.

the first straw, soon they will cut more of the budget,

parent must learn to homeschool their children, and not rely on the public school system to work properly for their individual child,

some children enjoy homework and get something from and some find it a distraction,

google HR 1955 and Fema Camps, then you will see our future,

In my opinion, by the way im 17 and i go to school every day, homework is just another daily activity that adds stress to a young adults life. In trying to maintain a job and do good in school I personally have found it is extremely difficult. My GPA since my freshman year has dropped from a 4.0 to nearly a 3.2, I was a straight A student. I'm still taking accelerated classes but struggle to get all of my homework done before 11 or 12 on the nights i work. This is due to 3 pages of physics and 20 math problems, possible spanish 4 homework and maybe english as well.

im guessing mny adults think that homework is okay but we are gettin far more than you ever did. WE ARE NOT LAZY TEENS. that is rude and you dont even know the half of it so be quiet, homework hasnt become reviewing work in class it has become a chore that stresses a teen's life because they cant focus in their life and courses because homework gets in the way!

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Cancer

You may not be privy to every little thing that's going on around you, but so what? Crabs can't always be in control, but you don't need to feel insecure, either. Thanks to your electronic devices, you appear to be a little godlike to those who don't have the same access as you do at the moment. Just make sure that you memorise the important stuff in case the system goes down.
