cut your losses. his approach obviously didn't work. "stop getting tough on crime and start getting smart on crime" it's a lovely sentiment but obviously doesn't work.

why? serious criminals are defective to the core. they might change outward behavior temporarily, but they are simply defective.

He was no hero. He was a robber and drug addict, and he no dount NEVER compensated anyone he hurt, stole from, or held at gunpoint. He deserved to die. The real heroes in society are those who study, who work, and who do not exploit other people. So he was a "community activist" later in life and supposedly got people off drugs? That did not compensate for the evil he did early in life.

When the Black community got mad at me and my process for picking a police chief, I was so scared that I tried to recruit Mr. Lewis but he turned me down. I'm sorry he was slain in NOCAL. While I was at it, I tried to recruit Farrakan, OJ Simpson (they wouldn't let him out of prison), Mike Tyson (too many movie deals) and JZ Rap. I so sorry NW Pasadena, but I had to settle for a Hispanic instead and screw over the hard working Vicino.

Not everyone has skills to take on such a challenge, I give him credit for stepping up to the plate while all of you complaining do nada! You suck! May the Great Spirit guide his family during this change in their lives.

It is sad that someone who turned around his own life with positive change, and made an effort to help those who chose the wrong path to mend their ways, was taken in such a violent way. I hope the community will report to the police, if the killer is known to someone so that the killer will be arrested. People can not be hypocritical and allow the killer of this man to go free with asinine no snitchin codes, and demand that law enforcement officers that kill and main be held accountable.

Sounds like one of the bad guys he catered to, did him in. There is probably a whole lot more going on that is not being reported.

This is another one of those failed Barney ideas. Bring some street thug into the police department so he can teach the officers how to love his fellow street thugs. No one ever bought into that #$%@.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Sagittarius

It's time to muster all your resources and energies and push through to the next level. The harmony between Mars and Saturn will support your efforts. If you need to dig deeper into shared resources or your credit facilities, now's the time to do so. With careful planning and perhaps family support, you can consolidate and somehow find greater security. This is a calculation not a risk though.
