Forest program a dismal failure

The deer on many public lands are now almost all dead, and, yet, the forest failed to regenerate due to acidic soils and other reasons.

Mr. Bolgiano, did deer cause the overall price declines, nationwide, of most real estate? Hardly. The economy of the north central part of the state has been in decline for about the last half century. Don't blame it on the lack of deer.
Many timbercuts I have viewed ARE coming back in quality species that are good for wildlife and the future of the timber industry. A win/win for the hunters and the future of jobs in the north central.

If hunting for deer is so bad, how is it we have seemed to have kill 300,000 last year in this state?

The Unified Sportsmen seem to get away telling lies, but the problem is that the leadership of this organization believe that if you tell a lie long enough, it becomes the truth.

For me and MANY hunters in this state, we are embarrased by the USP and what it stands for.

The USP does NOT represent me.

They don't represent me, my family, or the members of our camp either. I swear all they do is make up conspiracy theories about how the sky is falling and the government is out to get them.
They offer no solutions to their percieved problems, they only offer division for the hunters. Luckily not many buy into their lies. I'm beginning to believe what I thought were just rumors, about them being a front group for peta to try and end hunting by creating trouble within.

The deer are almost all dead??? Does this guy ever go near the public forests? I highly doubt it with a statement like that. And how does he explain all the deer harvested last year, because his club also claims theres no hunting pressure on private land. More contradictions by this group.
"Killing ALL the vermin including deer"?? But yet they make the claim we have too many coyotes, bear, even cougars and hybrid wolves. More contradictions.
"Sustainable forest certification"?? The amount of state owned land that's certified is about 9 percent of all the forests.
"200 billion"?? What about your other claims of 1.7 trillion and 350 billion? Pick a number and stick with it. Same goes with your membership number. Your the kings of fuzzy math.
"45,000 hunting related employees out of work??? Now there's a claim I challenge you to prove. The economy had nothing to do with them I guess. Shows how out of touch you are with reality.
"Bankrupted business that thrived on hunting"?? If that business relied on 9 weeks of deer hunting for the year, they probably weren't too business savoy now were they? Couldn't have had anything to do with the convenience and low prices of Cabela's and BassPro shops or any internet mail order shop now could it?

You guys are just unbelievable. The unified sportsmen of Pa DO NOT represent me or any sportsmen that I know!

At least they spoke up to an idiot like BOLOGNA. Make that a majority of four (4). I also agree with them.
