Got a postcard in the mail saying not to shoot the bow until it had been inspected by the dealer. Called my dealer, he called be back in 2 days and had my new limbs. Fixed me up in 25 minutes. Good to go. I don't care what you are shooting, shoot this General and you will own one. By far, best bow out there.

I just had my bowtech general fixed too. Did yours come back with what looks like cheap silver rivets on the limb ends? Looks like a homemade fix and stands out awful on the camo. Ruins the look of an otherwise very nice bow. Just wondering if thats the normal fix or mine is messed up somehow?

I have a 2007 bowtech guardian and i have recently noticed that on the top limb where the axle pin goes through the top cam, that the hole is not machined straight through but rather bored so that the hole looks larger. i can see the side of the axle pin almost half way in . i have read up on the defective limbs for the 2008 general and was wondering if the problem was similar to my guardian. If so then the Guardian may have the same problem.

I got my bow back as well. I am pissed at what they have done to the limbs. I called bowtech and they stated that they will do nothing about it. They told me that some of their older bows had rivets on it like that. My statement is that I did not buy their older bow. Please, everyone complain!!!!!!!

I bought a General in March of 2008 and couldn't be happier with that bow. I got the recall notice on my bow, but after shooting 6500 arrows, it was apparent that I didn't have a limb problem. They put new limbs on the bow anyway and I have replaced the string and cable as well and am up to 7850 arrows. The bow looks as good as it did when I bought it new and the workmanship from my bow shop was excellent. The bow is quiet, fast and accurate. However, it is not being made anymore. If you like the General, they tell me you will like the new BowTech Admiral even better as it is the bow that replaced the General.

I have a 2007 Guardian, last night I pulled to full draw & the bottom limbs shattered. Both lower limbs split. Luckily nobody was injured. I can't believe that they broke after only 2 years. I'm heading to the dealer today to see what they say.

I bought the general last year shot three tournaments with it before I had any problems the bow had to be sent in to Bowtech for repairs and they told me it had two different modules on it and it had defective limbs. Got the bow back with the same rivits on the limbs does not bother me a bit love the bow and will continue to shoot it till my son is old enough to take it over and then I will get a new one. Oh yeah by the way I took first place in every tournament with it and have placed second in one since I got it back.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
