It's obvious that Mayor Bill is sleeping with all involved in trying to ruin The ElkHorn Lodge, instead of concentrating on "Historical Preservation" of the property. It's all about MONEY and Damned the people. Billy Ward had a wonderful idea in wanting to establish The Wounded Warrior project for our returning veterans but he and his ideas have been thrown off the property. Why? Because Mayor Bill and his band of greedy thugs wouldn't benefit monetarily. B.S. as usual in Estes Park. It's time to move! This is note the quaint and peaceful community that my wife and I retired to. If we had wanted this crap we would have stayed in the big city.

That's the trouble with Estes. Young punks like you ruining it for us Old Folks who made Estes what it is. Take your yuppie ideas and move to Boulder, better yet, Berkley California. They will welcome you with open arms. Maybe better, all of us old folks will take our money and leave (Estes is better than 50% old folks)and see how you survive. I'll bet you are not Native Estes species. None the less, have a nice day! You need it.

It'd be a shame if instead of another retirement building we got things like a community center or arts and entertainment center. Please take your money and go! There are 3 million people that pass through this town to visit our park with plenty of money. I think somehow, life will go on in EP without the retired Ol Geezers.

Please spare me the talk of how you made Estes what it is... The mountians and scenery made estes what it is. You just thought it was pretty and decided to live here. There will be others that want to do the same...

understand what Johanna Darden is doing. She gives information regarding the Elkhorn Project and we are all waiting for the other shoe to drop. Ok...we heard what you had to say but now what? A solution possibly? I'm confused since there is no closure to her letters.

Billy was thrown off the property for his involvement in embezzlement not because of his ideas for a wounded warrior project.
This town is full of gossip and until you have the full story old man, you should keep your mouth shut
