Any early retirement has become suspect

This doesn't make me particularly proud, but the first thing I thought of when 25-year-old tennis star Justine Henin announced her retirement Wednesday was "failed drug test." That is completely unfair to ...

Not so sure how responsible this is. She's been playing professionally for 10 years. The age of 25 is not that young in this sport. This is not fair to write an entire article hinting at something you admit there is no evidence to support. If you want to lament PED's in sports that is fine but to implicate her in this manner is wrong.

Agree with comment regarding unfairness of headlining the article on Henin around drugs when no evidence exists. Tennis is almost a cult sport which few people appreciate. I cannot imagine a sport more demanding or more of a grind when played at a very high level. Justine is at an age when many players have simply had enough, physically and mentally.

I agree with Patrick, to say that it something is completely unfair but to excuse it by saying "this is the world we live in" is not acceptable. This is the world we live in because of people like you that make it that way. Had there been reasonable evidence of her using steroids this would have been a valid story. Sullying a person's reputation without any to make a story is "the world we live in". Shame on you.

Another Drug Store Champion "retires" before the substance abuse police bring her in for justice.

She is smart, this one.

If there is no hint of drug abuse in the past, then there is now. I follow tennis, have played for almost 20 years, and I have never heard one whisper about Henin. To bring it up now without a shred of information is unethical and bad journalism.

The editor should have never let a story like this go to print.
