It comes down to Meg Whitman - who gets her facts wrong and
Jerry Brown - the hard working politician . I'll vote for the latter. No "on-the-job training" needed for Jerry. When did Meg last vote? I don't think you can sell the GOP to Southern California |

Factcheck.org says Whitman ad is false

It comes down to Meg Whitman - who may have some of her facts wrong, but is a successful Calif. business CEO. Built it up from a site for a guy who's wife had some items to sell, like in a garage sale. Jerry Brown - the hard working politician? Who despite having 30+ years working for gov't, has nothing to show for it. He passed laws that set worth the problems we have today. He is a DEM party guy all the way. The DEMS have no one else that wants this position. So, they send in old Jerry Brown. Even Bill Clinton called him a poser, always changing to suit the politics, until elected. How's Oakland doing? He was the mayor. I could go on, I hope you get the trend here...... FAILURE! I'll vote for the former. No "on-the-job training" needed for Meg. When did Meg last vote? Doesn't matter to me! I don't think you can sell the DEM crap to Southern California, well you may be correct. SoCal has become dumber than a rock, politically speaking. Watch out though, some may yet start to wake up. I'm an independent voter, I vote for the best choice, not party hacks. |

Look forward to massive layoffs in state government.
This Goldman Sachs darling doesn't care much about the middle class. If you like what Arnold has done for California then you should love Meg. After she's done laying off everyone in state government , whose gonna train her about how government works? |
It will take more than independents to put Meg in the governor's seat.
SF Gate has promised to keep track of her lies at least until November 4[Campaign check: Lies and half-truths outed] Another blog has an article entitled "The Dirty Tricks Begin From The Meg Whitman Campaign" |

Florina brings a bit of baggage with her :
a record of laying off 30,000 workers and shipping jobs put of California when she was CEO. |

Whose best to get California going again?
Current State of California:$53.7 billion shortfall or 58 percent of its budget Perhaps no state has a more daunting problem to overcome than California. Its massive deficit is larger than the entire budgets of several states. The state has almost a $27 billion gap to close before balancing its budget. The $53.7 billion figure adds in the massive gap that the state has already closed. There's very little fat to trim without residents feeling even more pain. The Golden State's problems are emblematic of the nation's. But whatever happens in California could actually have implications for all of us: the state accounts for 12 percent of the nation's gross domestic product and the largest share of retail sales of any state. The cash flow shortage is so bad that last week the state, which if counted as a country would have the eighth largest economy in the world, had to start issuing IOUs to make its bills. The IOUs, issued for the first time since 1992, are being given to vendors and residents who were owned tax refunds.(The IOUs pay an interest rate of 3.75 percent, better than most people are seeing in their savings accounts these days.) The state hopes to redeem the script in October. Residents seeking to get a new driver's license or even call with questions about their IOUs might find their pleas falling on deaf ears. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is shutting down most of state government for three "Furlough Fridays." Voters in May rejected five ballot measures that would have helped stop the budget crisis. Now, to raise cash, Schwarzenegger has called for selling off certain state properties. He also proposed eliminating $70 million of funding for state parks, which would likely result in the closure of 220 parks. The legislature is trying to avoid those closures through a $15 increase in annual motor vehicle registration fees. California drivers would then get free admission to the parks. To help close the gap, the state has also increased co-payments and reduced dental benefits in its children's health program. Other big cuts include state aid to local school districts, a 10,000-student enrollment cut at the California State University system and the elimination of dental and vision services for many Medicaid recipients. |

I just ran across GovDeals.com .
Maybe California can sell many of its surplus on this site. Kinda a ebay for governments. Might generate a few million dollars. |

After Florina was forced out of HP, then its stock soared in celebration.
She walked away with $21 million. Florina tried to break up HP, will she try that on California? |
As Florina fired more California workers she said that "No one has a God-Given right to American Jobs"
Carly Fiorina: Election is About the Economy and Destroying Jobs in California and the nation. Florina is all about herself and big business. |
Answer, Arnold simply just didn't have any experience - that was just one of his problems.
Meg Witman and Cary Florina will push our unemployment rate off the charts by the time they finish laying off the rest of the employed. California is a very complicated state and Witman has stated that she wants to tackle one thing at a time - meaning she cannot not or does not want to work too many problems at one time. |
If you like what Arnold has done for California then you should love Meg. AGREED. But if you think the Dems and Brown are better, you are irrational and delusional. |
We need experience in government.
Who has experience? Pelosi, Bush, Reid, Cheney, Villaraigosa, Dodd, McCain lol |
According to The Majority Report July 19, 2010 @ 1:47 PM
Fiorina to California's Unemployed: Drop Dead Due to Republican obstructionism, over 429,000 unemployed Californians have already lost their unemployment benefits, with more set to lose benefits if the Senate does not act immediately. |

California may be at a point of no return - without putting everything up for a fire sale. Retail business are giving away everything to get people in - to shop. No I can't not predict the future but I can only describe what is happening under the present governor and that is very scary. To even suggest that workers be paid minimum wage that are state workers that alone would mean that the computers would have to be re-programmed. What a mess that would be. The judge says "no cigar". |
Actually, the state has not been in Democratic hands for the last 20 years, what you have stated is false. George Deukmejain 1983-1991 Republican Pete Wilson 1991-1999 Republican Gray Davis 1999-2003 Democrat Arnold Schwarzenegger 2003-Present Republican |
