Geez. A cab costs $10-20. The cost of one or two drinks in the Hamptons.

If these tools considered taking a cab to the bar, they probably balked at the cost. Well...between legal expenses, increased insurance, inconveniences, etc., I'm sure they are wishing they earmarked some taxi money.

When you see the four names together it looks like the law firm that will eventually get them off with a slap on the wrist. Except for the poor b*stard from Mastic...he will be the one to get pinched.

Imagine how many they missed...regardless, this was a job well done. Now if the rest of Suffolk police would follow suit, maybe...just maybe, we could start to make a difference.

We should increase the penalty, but we can't because too many of our politicians have DWI records and they won't fix the laws. From Ted Kennedy to his nephew to the legislators in Suffolk County...drunks and bums. Why isn't MADD pushing this issue and exposing the bums for what they really are?

I guess if any of these people are rich and act on tv, they probably still can get caught three or four more times before they get the max of an hour of jailtime.

Four potential murderers off the road. When these guys are loaded and they kill someone, the first words out of their mouths is I'm sorry. We saved them from that part of it. NO ONE SHOULD DRINK AND DRIVE. If you do, you deserve what you get

Obviously, the thought of getting arrested or even killing someone has no deterrent value. Mandatory seizure of their vehicles might put the fear in people.Maybe.

They should be forced to do public service announcements on TV against drunk driving. The announcements must include their names and home towns. Sometimes it takes a bit of humiliation to correct their behaviour.
