Nice catch for the Southhampton Police dept. You would think IDIOTS would learn from other peoples mistakes, or published DWI fatalities. I am so glad that no one was injured, and that these LOW LIFE S*UMBAGS were stopped before harm came to anyone. Hopefully other precincts will step up their efforts to combat this life threating offense.

A few days in jail should cure any normal person of driving while drunk. As for the hard core, anti-social alkies, there is no hope - so just watch out for them.

I'm glad they were all caught. What about the ones that weren't caught? Also, the kid who hit the police car -it doesn't get any worse than that.

That's why I drink light beer before I drive. The dumb people drink regular beer and get in accidents.

Excellent work, but I find it amazing that they only bagged four. That number should be in the hundreds every weekend. Just hang out in front of every bar. At least 50% of the patrons are walking out of there with a couple of drinks or more in them.

Good catch by the Southampton Police dept. All yongsters too, one with an equipment voilation, probable cause will get you every time.

If they have a 1/2 way decent lawyer and blew under a .15, did nothing else atrocious and this was a 1st offense, they will be driving again soon. All of course depending where they are arraigned and who is the presiding judge.

They will have an arraignment probably today and have to come back within a week to enter a plea for a hardship license. If their employer writes them a nice letter and there is no convenient alternatives to them driving, they should get a hardship license. Which limits them back and forth to work, doctor appointments and a free time of 3 hours a week, which is set in stone.

Their DUI trial should happen within 2 months, they might have to do some community service as well, 40-60 hours are the norm for a straight DUI. Throw an accident on top of that and it could be a minimum of 100 hours.

All in all, this is no picnic and should be a good deterrent to keep them straight while driving.

All these drivers should lose their cars. Sell them and use the money for anti drinking and driving classes.

The going rate for a totalled out cop car is around $42k. This is also an instant "through the roof" increase on their next insurance bill if they are not dropped.

Gemini

Nothing will appear less attractive to you than the predictable today and that which was acceptable yesterday will seem tedious. Try to deliberately court people and activities that will inject some excitement into your life and exercise that bright intellect. It could well be someone you meet when you undertake a new challenge that will add a sparkle to the day.
