support stinks wrote: I have experienced horrible Dell support, but miscarriges and loss of companionship ... this is ridiculous.. first of all if those pictures are real they are horrible, second she didnt say she had a miscarriage after seeing them, she said after experiencing a miscarriage they were hard to see..the pics are like if someone had an abortion in the 3rd trimester..i have seen those pics used for that purpose with pro right groups..anyway about dell... my husband bought me a dell inspiron 12something last may for my bday..after a month of having the laptop the screen kept turning off, as if it was on standby..of course after calling them several times and trying to understand the person from india they told me to send it back, which i did and they said it was the lcd connection, great i get it back all is well for a week, then the screen again. well this went on for 6 months and they had the computer sent back to them more times then i had the priviledge of using it..Finally they said that there was liquid damage and i had to send them 200 to fix it..That was a discount from 700 only because we bytch about them having the dayum thing longer than i have owned it..In the meantime they sent me a inspiron 6400 to use because i told them i had bought the laptop for work..Mined you the liquored damage was caught after the tech service called me and said my laptop was in the mail..after not getting it over night like they said i called them and they said it was sent look for it tomorrow..well they called 3 days later to say about the liquid damage, how could i have liquid damage after someone told me it was being sent back??..Anyway we pay and a month later i get my original laptop back..thankfully i didnt send the more expensive borrowed one back because after 2 days of having the original the screen went black again, i spoke with david in north carolina this time because i called before 9..i even understood every word this time..he fixed the problem which was a lose wire under the keyboard panel..i waited a week and everything was fine..i called tell asked to talk to a supervisor and told them i wanted my 200 back because liquid was never spilled in my laptop and if it was it happened in your warehouse..needless to say they never sent it back or credited my card, so i cancelled my card, and kept both laptops..after a week of them trying to get the borrowed one back they gave up after looking at the logs and seeing everything we went through with them and their customer service... i had nightmares and chills and i was after of laptops after all that...DO YOU THINK I COULD SUE??? HAHAHAHAH...j/k... everyone wants a quick buck these days!!!!1

You think you know what your getting until you got it, then you find out wasn't so good after all, just like anything. I have a Dell and have had no problems with it at all except once I had to call them for support on the printer, and when I was speaking to whoever there, they gave me a phone number to call and when I did, I got a porn number. The little bastard must of thought he was funny. Wished I could of spit in his face the pig. Hope I never need them again for any help, next time I will report them. Should of done it then. Never know who your employing these days. Creeps are everywhere.

I had a major problem with Dell - the first computer crashed and they replaced it.
Unfortunately they replaced it not with a new one but with a refurbished one and that also crashed
After sending an email directly to Michael Dell they ended up buying the system back from me and gave me every penny back.
Dell knows about these problems with their outsource technicial help and that is why corporations only speak to AMERICANS
Have been very happy with HP and the best advise I can give is that you buy at BEST BUY and take an in home service. You will NEVER have to talk to a outsourced service technician again.
I also have my own computer technician that I use for minor problems and in the long run what I pay him is worth every penny as I donot have to talk to a TEXT BOOK MORON IN INDIA

Stop outsourcing. This is the good ol' US of A. Once you start taking away people's jobs, nobody will have any money.
Dorks.

This is exactly why people are using macs now. Never ever a problem with Apples tech support. If you need something solved they solve it in PLAIN ENGLISH.

What a shame, and I thoguthn outsourcing was required for globalization. It will be terrible when we outsource Congress and then nothing the taxpayers want will get done.... oopps, that is already here, then maybe outsourcing the govt. would be a good thing. I understand that Mexicao has some Jackassess looking for work, and hell, there almost over the border anyway.

I'm glad the couple is suing - and we should all sue them for the garbage service they provide. Luckily, as Americans, I think most of us know someone, a friend or someone from work, etc. to help us with our computer specific problems.
I used them only once - it took so long for the person to understand my "unusual" name (Carol). The person not only insisted on getting the right spelling, but he would not go to the next step without clarifying the spelling. The call seemed to last forever. I vowed never to call them again.

Dell is the worst---I just spend 45 minutes on the phone with a useless tech who was reading from a script. I told him the battery wouldn;t charge. He told me to unplug the ac adapter and plug in the battery. Then turn the computer on. I was like what? The battery is dead. He said " I need to make sure". I said are you kidding? 45 minutes later I made them send a tech to my house. By the way, the problem was with the AC cord itself. It was a known problem and the tech on the phone idd not even know it. They suck. After 5 Dell's I am done.

They read some script which is supposed to fix your problem. It rarelt does. Dell is pathetic. Period. you are right. obviously, "dell Customer Support" really means "Delhi Customer Support." Thank You. Come Again.

In this case, unfortunately, it seems these people are too stupid to own a computer!!
Give me 1 half hour with her computer and I will repair it or tell her exactly what is wrong with it!! Most software/hardware companie's 1st level tech support people are just kids filling entry level jobs. Same with retail/franchize geek squads/guys/tecs..etc, you see running around!!
Real tecs like me come word of mouth at $65-85 per hour... and if we can fix it you dont pay.....but for me that hasnt happened yet!!!
A comuter is a machine...there are no mysteries or magic about it!!!...every problem can be diagnosed and repaired!!

If you can sue for $50 million getting disturbing photos emailed to you and bad tech support... I would say the lady that had the wrongfuly diagnosed double masectomy on Long Island should be able to sue for $2 billiion or more!
