Protesters Clog NYC Streets

1. I guess if I didn't work for a living I could go out and play in the traffic during the workday, messing with folks that DO work.
2. "We Shall Overcome" is so passe and disingenious. As is Sharpton. 3. How about Rev. Al protesting about the black thugs that kill our police officers -in Atlanta and Philly most recently. He's both racist and anti-government. |

You do not agree with the verdict so you go out and mess with other people's lives, whether they agree with you or not. That is NOT civil rights or equality.

how exactly do you become a "reverend"/??????? I am pretty sure it is a self appointed title which translates into, "I am racist against the whites and I dont want a job, so I will be a reverend and preach about civil rights"
cop should have shot him and done the whole world a favor... listen up blacks... people like al do more harm than good for your "cause" |

someone needs to toss some molotov cocktails into the crowd next time...

50 bullets into one unarmed person.
This isnt justice. I support the protesters..police need to be held accountable. If that was your loved you would to. This young man DIDNT commit a crime and was simply defending himself when he was confronted by UNDERCOVER cops... |

I like how he whitens his hair.

So what happened with Kathyrn Johnsons in Atlanta? 3 cops indicted and doing time for lying to get a search warrant and 90 yr grandmother is DEAD... What then?? |

I'm surprised there aren't more comments to this point.
I support the protesters. Justice was NOT served in this case, and I think it's great that they are standing up and fighting for what they believe is right. I wonder why they were arrested, though, if the protests were nonviolent. Did I miss something? |
I don't know about what happened because I wasn't there, but they were held accountable, they were tried in the court system. That's not enough for Rev Sharpton. Just like the whole Duke Lacross thing the system was SO WRONG for not treating the "victim" fairly, until the truth came out. Sharpton jumped on the bandwagon, only this time some people are joining him. He is a bottom feeder. If it was anyone with a little dignity speaking out, I might listen a little more. Sharpton is a joke. |
|
I also like how he's lost weight everywhere except in his head.. looks like he could tip over at anytime |
|
If you don't know what happened then you are solely expressing your hate for Sharpton rather than commenting on the reason why he got involved. |

|
Why does the article have to reference an unarmed "black" man? I thought the issue was police violence against citizens and not about race. Two of the three officers were also black.

Exactly what role did Sharpton play in the Duke situation. Did he get involved in that? You don't even know do you. Your just shooting off at the mouth about situation you have conjured up in you mind. |

EXACTLY! People see Blacks protesting and automatically think it's racial. The police did a horrible thing either by mistake or on purpose and they should be held accountable in some way. If this march is about provoking the Feds to look into it I do hope that they at least filed a formal grievance or appeal to them before taking to the streets. A show of solidarity does no good without the proper paperwork and procedures in place. It also takes time for they system to get moving "Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Wednesday that the department was continuing to examine the possibility of disciplinary action against the detectives" Very odd statement...if they were found not guilty then why the need for further action. |

I support the protest. There was no justice in this case. White America, by and large, has not changed on damn bit.
|
Take sharpton out of the deal. WHat happened wasnt justice. 50 bullets that killed ONE person..who was unarmed. The cops were plain clothes undercover...who wouldnt have driven off at 2 am? I know I would have. This young man reacted accordingly..and was shot dead on the day of his wedding. Shame on NYPD |

Unfortunately, like a lot of other PD's, the NYPD has no shame. |
You do know two of the officers were black? |

for any of you fools that believe that Sean Bell was unarmed I have this propesiton for you:
How about you stand still and I try and run you over with a 4000lb car will you still think I am unarmed |
