Listen, I would never buy a Government Motors (GM) no matter what they did.
They make garbage, the employees are way overpaid, the cars are priced way beyond value, and it will only get worse.

The news I wait for is that saying Government Motors has shut down, for ever.

I will not support a company that overpays union workers and gives them raises for piss poor job performance. No one should be getting a raise in this economy. NO ONE!

All they have to do is build smaller, fuel efficient cars that do not suck.

Why in the world is this so god da@mn hard to understand?????

We Americans DO NOT WANT NOR NEED GAS GUZZLERS!!!

There is a reason why Kia, the Korean car company, are being greeted as heroes in Georgia, Because their sales have made them strong enough to open a new factory there!

Smaller, better cars are made by Kia. So while our government is bailing out the ninnies in Detroit, Koreans are creating jobs in the US!!!

D@mn it, we're being laughed at!

While GM has hardly produced cars that are worthy of owning, it's not fair to blame the workforce. First of all, they didn't design the cars. They only assembled them.
If you have contempt for the workers who assemble cars, aka the UAW, because of their salary structure and benefits, there is extreme envy on your part. They are only doing the American thing - to move up and get ahead within the system. The union movement in the USA is largely a thing of the past and what exists is the result of years of collective bargaining.
The UAW did not put GM into bankruptcy nor did they have a hand in producing inferior cars. It was GM's lack of foresight and inability to develop their R & D departments and engineering groups to provide better cars. And in the final analysis, you can blame the Board of Directors, and the CEO for not cracking the whip to contain costs and not producing cars the public wanted.
The rank and file GM hourly wage assembly line worker was a grunt down in the ditches who was looking out for himself and his family. You can't blame him or her for that.
If you blame the GM union workers, then I guess you blame the TWA workers and Pan Am as well. What happened to them? Was it their fault that TWA and Pan Am went out of business?

I will never buy a car made by the UAW. All three that I've owned over the past ten years have been poorly made. GM needs to get rid of the greedy UAW before they can be considered a 'real' auto company once again.

Considering that the UAW owns about 17% of GM I doubt that they will be thrown out especially because it's payback from Obama and he gave them that 17%.

Frank Bellavia is a psycho and makes his employees cower as he berades them. He has also had gay affairs. As for GM--the camaro is nice--the mailbu is nice--they nned to relax on the ton of suvs--too many that people dont get behind a make--stick to 1 per size--1 small, 1 medium, 1 large. And make a good minivan the uplander was bad.

Both can be blamed--because the workmanship was over priced and shoddy. The UAW doesnt hold its employees responsible for poor quality.

Im in the industry. I service and sell ALL makes and models in all classes by the hundreds every month. I always laughed that GM got a bad quality rap bc it just isnt true. My toyotas and hondas break down just as much and has=ve just as many silly issues as well. As for the Germans who are lauded for quality craftsmanship--LOL. My VWs are crap--motors blow on the Jetta at a 10-1 ratio to GM. My BMWs and Mercedes hit 50k and need COSTLY fixes. My point is that GM cars are cheaper so they may not have the bells and whistles, or horsepower, but as fr quality its all BS. Even new (last 5 years) chryslers are made well.

Nice try trying to dodge blame, but the UAW is JUST as much at fault. There was...and still is...excessive greed on both sides.

My mom bought a Camry in '02: No problems.

My wife & I bought an Impala in '02: Biggest POS we've ever owned. I could begin rattling off the LONG list of problems but I would be here too long.

If you believe this clown, raise your hand; I have a few bridges for sale to the highest bidder.

Let me tell you, if he was selling cars "by the hundreds every month", he wouldn't be living in Wantagh!

Salesman! What B/S artists!

-The UAW just like the local government on Long Island is bleeding us dry blame who every you feel like blaming but you can't pay someone $40.00 Per hour to bolt on tires the same way you can't pay the cops and garbage men $50.00 an hour and still expect to stay in business, Oh and don't forget the full pension and life insure and you wonder why GM is in the same boat as most local governments

If the Japanese can build quality cars for much less, why can't the Americans?

Oh, stupid, lazy, uneducated, unionized factory workers and greedy bosses.

I wonder what the CEO of Toyota and Honda make in comparison to GM; Ford; etc.

I bet much less.

Why dont you let us know what you do for a living? how much you make and justify it? Granted I am not in favor of all the UAW policies but you cant blame the decline on assembly line workers. GM was a successful model company after the war for people to look up too before greedy corporate executives who are overpaid.
