Accident Ruins 800-Lb. Man's Date

That's just freaking disgusting.

He lost 440 pounds & is still 800 lbs? He started at 1,000 lbs+....how in the world do you let yourself get that big?

I've seen picture of this guy he is HUGE!!!! He'll never be normal size I doubt he'll get down to 500lbs.

I always wondered about these people. How do they actually get the food? At some point, their fingers have to be too fat to dial a phone (and get take out). No job, on disability/welfare presumably, it's gotta be tough to aquire that much food.
I know, it's a gland problem. The gland is 600 lbs.

Notice They said "GO OUT TO EAT"!!! Well there goes the diet!!!! He needs to be hospitalized NOT going out to EAT!! I have TWO WORDS FOR HIM>>> GASTRIC BYPASS!!!

I'm sorry but if I was his family member or friend I would not help feed him. It's pretty sad that nobody tried to get help for him even before he weighed 300pds.

I cannot believe that people are making such a big deal with this guy. It is disgusting. He is like a hero in his home town@!! His mother blamed the US on his eating habits when he lived in the States.... give me a break. Plus he's got his on TV crew to document the fact that he is obese and disgusting.

he used to be over 1,200 pounds?!? Even at his current 800 lbs, how is that living, being bedridden while your family cleans and feeds you like a damn PET?!?

I'd rather be dead then have this guy's life...

If your life is important to you, you learn to control them. When my jeans start to get tight, I don't complain and buy bigger clothes. I exercise and eat less so that my jeans fit well again. I refuse to let myself become obese.

This guy has been bedridden since 2002 and claims to be a mechanic. How many cars has he repaired in the last 6 years?

THIS is the attitude that enables all of the mentally weak. We actually do get to choose what happens in our lives. You are very confused.

I agree. In an earlier post I said that you can control your addictions. We all have bad habits. It's up to us to be lazy or to work on ourselves. I'd rather give up the desserts and exercise for 30 minutes a day than to spend my life bedridden.

well arent you just special dear...if it was that easy there wouldn't be over weight people in life - behind this are deep rooted issues - the same as a drug addict and or alcoholic - you are very ignorant and perfect i guess - no problems in your life correct.

Doesn’t matter if we have a gene that gives us a pre-disposition for an addiction or we acquire one later in life, there is help, control behaviors.
His family, there are enablers.

When you need a damn forklift to carry you, or haven’t been out of your house in years, that is just wrong.
