Gospel singer Timothy Wright 'holding on,' family says

That poor family .. and that poor kid. That idiot driving the wrong way was obviously drunk. I hope that PA follows Nassau counties lead and persecutes that bozo for murder plain and simple.

I had the honor to play for pastor Wright in Jackson, Ms we are praying for the strenght of the family. Just know DJ and his grandma was saved therefor our lost is not greater than their gain!!

My prayers are with the Wright Family. I pray that God comforts them and give them the strength and courage to make it through.

This is a great shock to my choir and myself also. Rev. Timothy Wright is our choirs role model. To the family I just want you to know " To be absence from the body is to be presence with the Lord". I will keep your family in my every thoughts and prays for the days to come.

I'm praying that god will raise him up and use him like never before .My heart goes out to the family.

At first when I read this article I thought they were talking about Obama's spiritual leader; the nutty America-hating Rev. Wright.

just can't seem to stop them from doing what they love to do

driving drunk! pass all the laws you want, but there will always be people that are going to drive drunk.period

All the Christian family and the country that knows anything about the legacy of Pastor Timothy Wright can do right now is pray for him and his family through this horrible time. God is going to oull him through his family needs his strength and power and his anointing to go on........ My prayers are with him.

My thought's are with the Wright family at this most dreadful time. I pray that the Rev. recover's and can accept his wife's death. May God grant you serenity.

They really need to do something more about people driving drunk. Too many people are dying because of idiots and bars need to be held responsible to. Letting people walk out sloppy drunk and not taking the keys from them. I lost a cousin about 4 years ago for a driver riding down 1&9 in Newark and killed 2 other people with my cousin and they haven't caught him yet...

Test what. You start to get angry and hurt. You had a woman last week gave her life God doing evrything she was suppose to do. Living a clean life and raising her children and trusting in God and her ex-husband walks in the Montclair YWCA and kills her in front of their children and now was that a test of faith

After receiving the news on last Saturday, my heart as well is very heavy. The shock of this tragedy is beyond words.
D.J. was known as the "perfect son" - now D.J. is a "perfect angel." In his short life he crossed the T's and dotted the I's. He honored his mother and father and he loved the Lord. His passing is a deep hurt that will never go away, but D.J. is with the Lord at this moment and while we all miss him here, he's alright. Of course he went to early based on our timetable, but the Lord knew exactly when D.J. would be coming to join Him. I guess one would say, well Lord can you give me some type of warning, and if the Lord really did do that, none of our loved ones would leave. We praise God for his life and pray the families strength.
Elder Timothy Wright has graced our church numerous times and has been friends with our Bishop and Pastor for over 40 years, even back to the days when he drove a taxi cab many years ago. Elder Wright is one of the coolest celebrities around. Very down to earth and crazy as all that. He has no sense.
When I lived in the mid-South, Elder Wright and I spoke at the end of one of G.E. Patterson's services. He recognized me and we were claiming that we were the only ones from "up-North" at that moment in the service.
Elder Wright is such a phenomenal man and I consider Him my friend.
While I didn't playfully "aggravate" Sis. Wright, she and her husband were a dynamic duo. We are really praying that the Lord give the messenger who will deliver the news of her passing to Elder Wright divine strength and words.
