Full story: Newsday

These days, even when the Mets win, Willie Randolph loses. Fresh off a two-game sweep of the rain-shortened Subway Series, a thrashing of the Yankees that his team badly needed, Randolph infuriated Mets upper ...

Sounds like Willie has a thin skin. Its not racist to criticize because of poor performance . Its unprofessional to use the race card to both attack and defend yourself when you have been criticized. Willie needs to deal with the problem, but maybe thats all he has for a defense because he really has doing a bad job.

Herman Edwards chose to leave, but I believe Jet fans liked him. Isiah stunk. He was a jerk and made terible moves that set the franchise back years. Willie led an alltime choke job last year. The fans have not forgot that. Now he wants to say it's racism? GET REAL AND TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY!

I am a Jet fan and truly liked Herm.
I don't give a @#%& who a person is. If the man has the ability to get a team motivated and prepared in any sport, I will take him any time.

Willie,
Maybe you should tell your team to play good baseball instead of the media. After seeing yesterday's embarressment and total lack of hustle, desire, or accountability it is obvious they aren't getting it.

Willie you just shot yourself in the foot with the racial remarks. The race card is s copout. Do your job properly & we're not having this conversation. We the fans are paying a fortune on tickets to watch a mediocre club that has not gotten over the 2007 choke job. Your laid back thin skin attitude has worn us thin. We need a more aggressive manager. Sorry Willie but the door is closing. Pretty soon you'll be an ex-Met manager. Be sure the door doesn't hit you on the way out.

despite his comments, Willie knows, or should know, that he is going to be the target of any and all criticism with respect to this year's team performance, or lack thereof, by virtue of the Mets crashing and burning down the stretch last season...from a fan standpoint that was unforgiveable and unforgettable...race is not an issue...if Willie WINS, the criticism will fade, if he doesn't, he better be prepared for more of the same...he will be the lightning rod for the criticism, not his players. The Mets on paper are too good not to be in the playoffs again this season

The only race Randolph should be worried about in the one for the pennant, As far as the whole "Big Brother" camera thing with SNY, that goes beyond paranoia.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
