3 Up untill 5 years ago, I was a lifelong Tennessean. We knew how bogus Gore was. We did not vote for him, or Kerry the Ferry, or Obozo the Communist. TENNESSEE..A GREAT STATE. |

3 SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. In a precedent-setting ruling, a judge in the UK upholds Mr Tim Nicholson’s right to sue his former employer because he was fired over his environmental beliefs and his green lifestyle. Climate change belief given same legal status as religion In a landmark ruling, Mr Justice Michael Burton said that “a belief in man-made climate change … is capable, if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations”. The ruling could open the door for employees to sue their companies for failing to account for their green lifestyles, such as providing recycling facilities or offering low-carbon travel. |

2 How many lies can you make- let me count the ways 1- The income cutoff for the top 1% was was $410,096 as of teh most recent IRS data, not $435,000 2-I hope you don't do your own taxes if you calculated the tax savings to be $64,000. the closest i could find to a real example shoed a family of 4 making $300,000 saving $8,800 in taxes. At a 35% marginal rate from 300 to 410 the tax would be 38k so the total tax savings is about $47,000, not 64,000 as you claim. http://tax.cchgroup.com/news/taxbrief_01-08.p... 3-You cannot prove the claim that the rich invested the difference in the mnarket. and data shows that nearly 85% of ALL INDIVIDUALS have an investment in the market either directly or through a ira, 401k or pension plan so your claim is completely without merit You can try and twist the data all you want butthe bottom line is that the top 1% ALREADY pay their fair share and obama is not just allowing the bush cuts to expire but adding to the tax burden. the recent IRS data bolsters the findings of an OECD study released last year showing that the U.S.—not France or Sweden—has the most progressive income tax system among OECD nations. We rely more heavily on the top 10 percent of taxpayers than does any nation and our poor people have the lowest tax burden of those in any nation. Even after the bush tax cuts, the percent of the total taxes paid by the top 1% increased further. Your data has nothing to do with the fact that the amount PAID by the top 1% as a % of the total increased. So what idf the tax cuts allowed them to pay less than before. It just means that they use that extar money to buy goods and services, resulting in jobs and additional tax revenues and economic growth.(as proven by economic data release in teh years following the cuts) Earmarks and gov't waste prove that the gov't is not an efficient allocater of capital and teh most productive use is by individuals allowed to keep and spend more of their own income. |

3 The liberals are also saying there is support for Obamacare but: "45 percent support President Barack Obama's proposals to reform health care, with 53 percent opposed to his plans" http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/11/... I bet more people leave the Democrats soon. |

2 I think people are beatin feet from both parties! Politicians,in general, don't seem to hear, care,or both,to what their employers want. They actually seem to think we work for them. These next elections are pivotal. It's time to send them a powerful message with our votes! No incumbents until they get the message. If they won't impose term limits,we must! |

3 Well, you are right in one sense. True Americans/Republicans are now going to throw out the RINOS. The Dims will just continue to morph into Communist/Marxist/Socialist... whatever you want to call them. I trust that Americans are not so far over the cliff to accept Obammie Marxism. 2010 and 2012 will be the watershed of America. It will return to its roots, or forever be lost in a Marxist world of socialism. |

2 All those companies will be fine with cap and trade because they will simply pass along the taxes to us. Just like all the healthcare industry taxes gets passed to us. I hope you don't really believe that any of these companies forgoes their profits by paying any of these taxes. They all get passed on. So what the Obama administration is doing, is just hitting the citizens one more time. |

2 Econ, you are right on as usual. We spend easily over 100 billion dollars a year in defensive medicine in this country because of frivolous lawsuits, yet the democrats will not do anything to stop it. And we all know why, because the trial lawyers own the democrats and the Obama administration, and as usual with the democrats, their supporters and special interest groups are always taken care of, even if it means screwing the citizens of this country. That is what politics is all about in this country, kicking back to special interest groups and supporters with taxpayer dollars, so that these corrupt politicians can then receive their contributions and support, and thus the citizens of this country get screwed again and again. There is no way that any healthcare bill could be taken seriously without tort reform as a major part of the bill, anything else is a joke, and the victim of the joke are the citizens of this country, as the trial lawyers continue to pad their bank accounts. |
