Those words, "We are endowed by our Creator," are in the Preamble to the Constitution. Might consider going back to third grade civics class for a refresher course. I know it kills you to understand how much God influences the Christians in this country, but He does, and they vote. Next election we will be on the lookout for vote fraud in every polling place in the country, and the Democrats will not be able to steal votes with both hands.

It's you who needs the third grade civics refresher class. Those words are in the Declaration Of Independence, not the Constitution. I hope you vote with better information in hand than you've posted here.

The Preamble of the Constitution of the United States: "We the people of the United States of America, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." Please show us where "We are endowed by our Creator" appears anywhere in that statement. Pretty sad when such a self-proclaimed, America-loving superior individual doesn't know the difference between the Preamble and the Declaration of Independence.

Go ahead and wear out your keyboard Gunny - 80% of people in this country still disagree with you about the existence of a higher power in the universe. And most of us could care less if that percentage is down a couple points from whatever survey fuels your fire. Go ahead and keep telling people they're wrong and somehow inferior to you because they don't believe in the fairy tales that you believe in. The more sheep in the herd just makes sheering that much easier.

funny wrote: <quoted text> O.K. you're right, it is not a low blow to tell someone to choke on a wafer! And that's right I am not going to change. This country has been this way long before the people on here were born and we intend to keep it that way. So if they do not like it, can't just sit back and live their own lives and leave us alone. Leave things the way they are in the country, stop filing law suits to try and change things, they can gladly move somewhere they think it might be better! No one is telling them they can not be whatever they are, just leave us be us. That's what I said and I stand by it. I do not bother them, I could care less about them, but I am sick of hearing them pitch a fit everytime it's Christmas or Easter, or the Pledge of Alligence or what ever else gets their panties in a bunch, then they have to start suing and threatening to demand change. So you can stop trying to change me. It will not happen. I NEVER TOLD ANYONE THEY WERE WRONG, JUST TO STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THE WAY THIS COUNTRY IS AND JUST GO ON WITH YOUR OWN LIFE. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CLAIM THEY WILL BE THE MAJORITY ONE DAY AND THEY WILL BE IN CONTROL, SO WHO IS TELLING WHO TO CHANGE???? You can practice your religion any way you want to. Handle snakes. Bow to the pope. Exert mind-control over the weak. I don't really care. That is what the country is about. You get what you pay for. But, when you inject an incoherent mess of beliefs into the public debate, and attempt to mold society so that it conforms to your backwards, narrow-minded, rigid catechism, that is something all together different. People like you will never succeed because the rest of us enjoy freedom. And that means freedom from infringement into our lives by people like you. Your movement will fail because ultimately the rest of us want and enjoy our freedom. Plenty of Christian people in this country are appalled at the goals of your reconstructionist movement. And if history is any indication, when Americans mobilize against tyranny, we win. It doesn't matter if you change or not. You have the right to publicly proclaim your ignorance if that makes you feel like a better "christian".

Tough Love wrote: <quoted text> Hey, Mav, did you respond to the wrong post? I'm on your page. I stopped going to church long ago because I got tired of some righteous **** standing up their telling me what a sinner I am. Yeah, real uplifting. I also got tired of all the contradictions in the bible. Belief without proof is pure folly. I am still a believer (Catholic). Can't remember the last time I went to church of my own volition, though. It's not God. For me it's all the humans that get between me and God. The ignorance of these fools is at times jaw dropping.

Doesn't do a thing except make you all look like hypocrites and hate-mongers. Just look at the latest surveys on religion; your self-righteous intolerance is driving people away from your mythology. Can't wait until become as secular as Europe! I see someone beat me to this; however, since your reading comprehension is in question, we'll give you a second chance to read this. "Can't wait until become as secular as Europe!" is poor grammar. There is no subject, therefore the intent of the author can't be discerned. No, my reading skills are fine. It's your grammar skills which are questionable. Guess they don't teach grammar in church, huh? I'd really have to question your grammatical skills.

Go up above and read it and make fun of the person who really wrote it. Oh, that's right, you are another one on here, picking and choosing who to attack.
