they scrimmage wantagh/valley stream central on august 28 at 3:00 in wantagh and lawrence on the 31st at burns park (4:00) in massapequa.

i know their best player left for oceanside (which as far as i know is because his family moved...nothing weird). but, another kid apparently left for wantagh and a bunch of lacrosse kids wont play anymore.

what i know is that their best player (grigorakos) moved to oceanside, their QB (pagano) and best young wr (berge) are not playing (lacrosse issue?), another starter (dont know who)left for wantagh, and who knows what other players wont be back. this was a very deep team with a lot of taent coming back. but to lose all these good players is too much for any team to recover from. the question is why is it happening?

Baldwin is the 3 seed. They have a lot of returning players and could be a very strong team this year.

Longwood will be average (4-4) at best with new coach. Sachem East will have Casalli...but what else? They won't be playing a lower seeded schedule this year & will need more than a bull at RB/LB to carry them past 4-5 wins. So assuming that Bay Shore lives up to the hype and doesn't fall flat like they did last year coming out of the gate @ 0-4...it is only a 3 team race. Can't see CI, HHHE, PM, Commack, WM, etc. making much of a move.

2. Sachem N.
3. Bay Shore

8. Brentwood or someone else...
Longwood has way to much talent year in and year out to ever be "average". They may underachieve due to a lack of good coaching but they will be tough. They probably have more athletes than any school on Long Island. Will never know but in my opinion besides Sayville there is no one in DIII this year that could hang with the teams that I mentioned in DI. Sayville with roll through that division.

Stopped in at Iona Prep yesterday. They looked pretty good. Not as big as last season, but much quicker. OL/DL looks solid, QB Mario Biaggi looked really good, thought he should've started the whole year last season over Justin Combs. RB Shaquille Townsend put on some size. WR's Austin Jones and Chris Cooper looked sharp. The only receiver I did see was Brandon Williams. Maybe this year they'll give St. A's a run for their money.

I was wondering why I didn't see him on the field. I'm suprised he had a pretty good year last season. He had around 270 yards receiving.

Heard Oceanside is having a Blue/White scrimmage. With Blount at the helm it is possible to do something like that. Then I got to thinking, Kessenich could never have done something like that because it would have been hard for the same 11 kids to play against themselves.

Daily Horoscope for June 20

Scorpio

You may love you-know-who to bits, but right now their ditzy attitude is driving you nuts. Is it because someone's being vague and flaky, or saying one thing and doing another? Be patient, because losing your temper will only make things worse than ever. Be careful if you're involved in a property deal and it's reached a crucial stage, because you may not be thinking as clearly as you imagine.
