This is crazy. They need to shut down the school until that person is found. Are they gonna wait until people die before closing down the campus?

I went to StonyBrook 1983-1987 - the worst thing that could happen back then was food poisoning from the Meal Plan!

What the F is going on with these poorly raised kids?

Stony Brook should have a plan in place for emergencies like this, obviously it doesn't. Get on the ball - Stony Brook Administration - before someone gets killed.

The individual was reported to be an African American male. That is from SB site.

Why does Newsday omit this in their article??? I don't care what color it is. It doesn't make any sense.

The Stony Brook Independent is doing a very good job of covering the story with the latest updates: http://www.sbindependent.org/node/2188

Additionally, campus radio station WUSB 90.1 FM (www.wusb.fm ) is providing frequent updates as well.

Male, 25 year old, black hat and black wool hat. That narrows it down to about several thousand possible suspects.

I dont feel safe on this campus anymore. Thank God I am locked in the basement of a building with enough food and drink to last a few days...hopefully they will catch him by then. We shall not emerge until this campus is safe again. They need to shut it down until he is found, especially because there are lots of tests this week!

It's a little difficult to predict when someone is going to walk onto a campus with a gun.

This is a violent society. Hell, we are even exporting it overseas. Not that everyone actually has one, but there are probably two guns for evry American citizen. Look at the "entertainment" industry. When "Grand Theft Auto" is the most popular computer game out there, you know society has reached the degenerate stage.
