There are plenty of bad golf shots on every golfer's resume. But there are also those shots you hit that you tell everyone about, those shots that make you come back and play again. Here's your chance to share them with everyone.

There's one shot everyday that brings me back to the course the next day. Yet, I haven't had that perfect shot that I'm ready to brag about to the rest of the world.
Hit them long and straight you all.

I was having a really bad round, so basically, no different than any other day, at Merrick. Then on No. 7, from 150 yards out in the left rough, I drilled a 7-iron to within 2 feet of the cup. And yes, I hit that putt.

I was playing a round two weeks ago with my dad at Smithtown Landing, it was the 14th hole the par 5 with the sharp dogleg left. I was two stokes ahead of him at that point. He hit a wild 3rd shot behind the trees that gaurd the 13 hole tee box. Needles to say he hit a sandwedge over the trees and sunk the shot for birdie. I got a bogie and he went on to win the round by a stroke. NICE SHOT DAD

I have been playing for about two years now and I have been trying to break 90 since. Well last week on the Yellow at Bethpage I hit a monster drive on the left side of the fairway on hole 18. I am about 130 to the pin I hit a 8 iron inches to the cup and knocked in the birdie. Not knowing what my score was till I added up the round I shot an 89. Now to break 80.

Played Eisenhower white a couple of years ago with 2 good friends of mine. I started out with a non-descript bogey. The next few holes were insignificant then the 7th. A straight out par 5( like there is any difference, all straight out at this course) on in 3 a nice birdie putt. Ok next a par 3 I hit a good tee shot and have a decent legnth putt.....birdie. Well ok I walk up to the 9th hole and just want to hit a drive straight and not top it or miss it...lol well I have a good drive and leave myself with a 150 yrd shot into the green. It lands a bout 12 feet to the left of the pin. Its a sidehill lie and it breaks down towards the hole... I take my time and hit it....aahhh I didn't hit my aim line and its gonna miss on the low side what a jerk I am. Nope it goes in the hole with some authority...3 birdies in a row. Thank goodness my friends Tommy and Joe were there to see it. I am about a 25 handicap so it was big deal to me. Thanks for reading my story

Hey ANON believe me if you practive a little bit even on the range you will some memorable shots. then that will translate onto the course. Trust me it will happen(now James Earl Jones cuts in with the force is with you Luke)lol....good luck

I'm now living in Greenville SC which has some really nice courses down here, but nothing can get my jucises following when we use to wait all night on Round Swamp Rd. so we could play the Black Course. That is something you can't forget, and when I tell my friend down here about it they think I'm crazy for doing it, but THEY JUST DON'T KNOW!

After pulling a tee shot on No. 13 at Bethpage Black and then needing 3 more shots to just get back on the fairway, I took a 3-metal from 236 yards out and put it within 20 feet of the pin. I 2-putted for the best double-bogey of my life.

My most memorable shot that keeps me comming back was on a long dog leg right par 5. I hit my third shot a ton, but far right as usual over a creek. The ball hit a tree high up and senk it back, on to the green and in the hole. My only eagle ever and all it took was three really bad shots.

hey blue five... i really don't enjoy playing 3 hours nines and wading through the geese crap at merrick... my friend has time out east... where time.... i play. and yes,,, i do practice my lag putting on those monster greens .. i've also played bethpage courses 10 times in the last month...

blue five.... i got you beat on the addiction... i've been playing since i was 15.. i'm now 51.. i was playing the black course when i shouldn't have been on there but the other 4 courses would have 4-5 hours waits and the black would have only an hour... so we tortured ourselves..
i had time at middle island and im not a big fan.. i know they have new owners so i hope they took a buzz saw to the over hanging trees that have overgrown the place from 20 years ago..

last year, i had tee time at hamlet willow creek and that was a amazing..
a florida course on li.. i couldn't get my guys to reup as it is a bit pricey but it beats having to make phone calls again..

i do play lido alot speaking of water and wind.... the new owners have done great things with the old classic... this year... condtions are not the greatest but still the back nine is as tough as any on the island...

oh yeah.. this is about memorable shots: playing the black course last year... i had a big tee shot on number 9.... sitting in the middle of the fairway.. i pulled my iron shot into the left front trap... i ended up in the rough on the bank just above the trap... i chipped up and in for an unexpected but great birdie....

May the good lord bless your patience for playing Bpage. The longest 9 or 18 in the world can be had there, unless you tee off before 8am. Wont play there unless we have an early tee time. Would rather drive like you do to Swanlake or the closer one Springlake. Played there last week and it was in pristine condtion.

Liked your story reminds me of the old commercials with MJ and Larry Bird. Off the biulding one bounce off the sidewalk......nothing but net. Heck of a shot....jealous never had an eagle. Good story was short and fun....like one of my ex's...lol

Ahhhhh lido is waayyyyyyyyy over-rated I played it and would rather play Eisenhower Red any day. Lido played sllllooowwww and the course is NOT in good shape. I can see wind making the course more challenging but.... Its a good course to learn the game on kind of like Bethpage yellow. I don't care that its only $22 for town residents, its just not nearly as good a course as Crab meadow. Which is also near water not as close as Lido but ,much much better course.

Lido has its challenging holes no doubt. Overall as a course it pales in comparison to the Red as Eisenhower. Yes you have the 16th, but there are a few holes that are almost driveable. The one after the par three along the water. Thats what 280 if you hit over the trees, there are more. Its like a typical muni beat up and its ok. Besides beginners have to learn to hit over H20 sooner or ltr. Crab Meadow is def tougher. Lido is flat and a good value for a newby for the $22.

kev... i played lido yesterday and i was quite surprised how the conditions were.... the greens were great and the fairways were in pretty good shape considering the 2 days of rain preceeding my round...

i walked the course and the good thing about lido is that no matter how hot & humid it might be, there is always a nice breeze blowing. it was still pretty hot and after screwing up 16 & 17.. I sucked it up and hit a big drive on 18... sitting 195 out and directly into the wind.. i smoked my rescue club dead straight onto the green 15 feet from the pin... a huge shot on an incredibly tough finishing hole....
