camc a joke

I wonder why they don't take their board members to their er. Maybe it because they are always backed up. Patients waiting several hours to just get back to an er room. Patients even wait for hours when they come in by ambulance. The emergency rooms in the charleston area are a joke. They should go to the Huntington hospitals and take lessons on how to operate an er efficiently!

As far as my job goes, I deal with them all of the time. Can't stand half the administrators and mr. David Ramsey needs to get his social workers and doctors in check. However, two doctors that are affiliated with CAMC saved my daddy's life. And the staff at heart and vascular were great!!!

St. Francis is a hell whole. Reject druggie nurses that have been fired from other hospitals. That place is dirty, old and crappy. And I doubt if 1/4 of the doctors speak English!!

If people on Medicaid wouldn't use the ER as the Primary Care Provider it would be less crowded. People go the EMERGENCY ROOM for stupid things like toothaches, earaches, sunburns, etc... and that is absolutely ridiculous!(these are the people who complain about having to wait)! Go to Med Express or Urgent Care and save the beds for someone who is ACTUALLY injured or sick!! And when you go an ER, don't bring Mr Damn, Mrs Damn & the whole Damn Family! Unless the patient has been injured in a car wreck, had a severe accident, was a victim of a crime, having a heart attack, needing emergency surgery, been shot, having a baby, or dying, then ONE person accompanying you is enough! If you have to bring a child to the ER because they are spiking a temp, or is so sick that they can't hold their heads up, bring a second adult with you, NOT ANOTHER CHILD! Someone who can hold the child, to give you a break to go to the bathroom.(not so that you can go smoke!) FYI, even if your Dentist tells you to go to the hospital, 9 out of 10 times, your insurance company will NOT pay anything for the visit, because it is a dental issue.

The people on Medicaid could care less if their bill gets paid for or not. If they do get turned over to collections it's not like they are going to pay that either. I wish emergency rooms could turn people away for coming in with stupid stuff like the toothache

Personally when I'm sick the last thing that I want is a bunch of people around me, carrying on 5 different conversations! And people calling my room phone! WTH? If I am sick enough to be admitted to the hospital, all that I want is a private room, my husband, son, daughter in law or sister!

People that go to the ER are usually uninsured and using that as a last resort. low income with medicaid can go to urgent care. if you have no empathy for the poor dont work in health care. also, st francis is a good hospital. it saves lives when medexpress, health plus, etc are clueless IMO wrote: If people on Medicaid wouldn't use the ER as the Primary Care Provider it would be less crowded.
