We are intruding in their living habitat and yet when we are attack we make a big fuss about it, or even going after that particular bear and kill him. We need to start by staying away from their habitat and we wont have any problems.

Thank god only one victim.
Polar bear was more and more 76 (times) merciful than Anders Behing Brevik S.O.B.

I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone attacked by the polar bear, as this is just another case of humans encroaching on wild animals' territory. You wouldn't take the same risks in Africa, where you could be mauled by lions and other animals, so why take chances elsewhere. Scores of people are either injured or killed by wild animals every year, so this is not an isolated incident. It’s disgusting how people can encroach on their territory and then be permitted to shoot to kill if they are threatened or attacked by wild animals. Animals will only hunt if they’re hungry, so if you don’t want to be a tasty meal, just leave them alone. I am a former nurse, and if this had been an avoidable situation, then you would have my every sympathy, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
