RED BARON wrote: Unbelievable. I'm speechless. I knew it was gonna be bad, but not THIS bad. We are SCREWED guys. My condolences to all the season ticket holders. I can tell you that these two d-men are probably replacements for Bouwmeester so the bloodletting has not ended yet. And what if Bouwmeester brings you the goal-scorer everyone seems to think we need? Will you call be screaming and crying that Bouw is gone? I guess nobody has faith in Horton, Weiss, Booth, Mattias, Frolik et al to pick up their games and step up. I guess we are done and not going to sign one or two UFAs? I love you wannabe GMs..... bunch of Chicken Little "the sky is falling" whiners.

Are they kidding? Fact - the TSN talking heads are experts when it comes to the NHL and they get paid for that expertise. Fact - we're supposed to take your opinion over theirs? Another wannabe GM whose only access to the outside world is to blog on and on about hockey in the Sun-Sentinel? Methinks not.

Louie wrote: Gentlemen, you are all so very, very short-sighted. Try to get beyond your negative knee-jerk reactions. The Panthers now have gained two good defensemen, a second round draft pick, and-----a lot of money has been freed up to go after free agents. The team chemistry needs to be entirely changed, and that is what you are watching. This is simply the first step in constructing an entirely new Panthers team, not merely a patch job as has previously been attempted. Give it time. Take a deep breath. Exhale. You will see the grand plan emerge. The first step was in hiring a young aggressive new coach. The second step is now beginning and it will be awesome. It is the construction from the foundation of a new, tough and aggressive hockey club. Stay tuned----It's all good. Thank God - a voice of reason.

By the way - over the last 24 games of last season when the Panthers were hot - Jokinen scored but five goals. But don't let the facts get in the way of you knee-jerk naysayers. P.S. How many playoff games did this team win with Jokinen and Luongo in the line-up? EXACTLY!

The NHL just emailed me a request.. They say that Florida Panther fans have the worst particiaption in the NHL.. They are asking that I contact Panther fans to participate in the NHL panel.. You guys can go there and apply, to be a member of the NHL panel.. The bottom line is that the Panthers and their fans and organization are last place.. Yormark and Cohen do not care, they just want to build the new hotel at tax payers expnse..\geez guys do you not get it? The team is nothing to management and the owner..

First of all I am a big shot compared to you..But thats no biggee.. You will bet me, but I will not get paid..so shut up with idle post garbage.. I stay on my position about Cohen and Yormark.. The team is secondary to the investment in the venue.. Watch and see then try and get the tax payers to absorb the greater cost of a hotel next to the arena..they will sell the idea on building a pool at this hotel..That sounde rediculous? Well Pal, watch and see.. The Panthers team mean nothing, so they get a cheap coach and trade cheap..They even sell space in the urinals..Yormark is PT Barnum and thinks we are the sucker born every minute...

They hope rubes like you spend your hard earned money on a team that doesn't return the favor by being competitve. Defiant to the last despite an insurmountable amount of evidence to the contrary about this team. While your "look to the future" argument seems very strong to the uninitiated fan. What you fail to understand is that there are fans here that have followed the Panthers since the very beginning. We remember what a competitive team looked like. We remember when ownership actually gave a crap about their fans. We have seen countless empty promises, misguided marketing efforts, failed trades, and fans such as yourself claim you are right and those that oppose you simply lack the foresight you have. Let me assure you, I am skeptical because history has proven my predictions right time and time again about this team. So all the reassurances that this is all part of a wonderful master plan to make this team something worth watching has, at its foundation, no basis for success. I give you credit for trying to put lipstick on this pig though. I know it must not be that easy.

I love you wannabe GMs..... bunch of Chicken Little "the sky is falling" whiners. If trading Bouw brings the scoring we need, I for one will be happy. I think Bouw is a very good player but like most good players down here he gets over-hyped and called great by uneducated fans and media. I, like a lot fans just don't have any faith the Panthers can pull the trigger on the proper deal to make this happen. Some of you rah! rah! types on here seem to think the trade of Olli is going to lead to another big trade or a Hossa type being signed in UFA. I just don't see that happening. They will probably do what they always do and sign a couple more 15 goal type forwrds to fill out the roster. As for having faith in Horton and Weiss: both took a step back offensively last year and don't play hard on a night to night basis escpecially Horton. Frolik hasn't played a single NHL game and Matthias has played 4. So counting on 2 guys who haven't lived up to their potential and 2 green rookies to all the sudden wake-up and carry the team is maybe a little too hopeful on your part. As for you saying Panthers outscored 3 playoffs teams so we don't need much more offense, I think that's way off base. The Panthers were sixth in the conference in goals allowed and gave the fewest goals of all non-plyoffs teams and fewest in the SE division. Like always the problem with this team is goal scoring. Maybe you need to get your facts straight too.

Just to clarify the above post I'm not dissing Bouw in any way, shape or form. I think he is a very good player just not great (yet) but with all the D-men we have if trading him brings a couple of talented forwards I'm all for it. I don't think he wants to be here anymore and is out of Sunrise after this season if nothing happens before then.
