Penguins 7, Jackets 2: Penguins fill up Nationwide Arena with goals, fans | The Columbus Dispatch

Full story: Columbus Dispatch

As if having Nationwide Arena taken over by Pittsburgh Penguins fans wasn't bad enough, the Blue Jackets only furthered the indignity brought upon their fans by turning in an abysmal performance last night.

There was nothing but Pens fans every where I looked around me last night. Where were all you loud mouthed Jacket fans??? You know, all you loud mouth guys who feel a need to get on this site and make excuse after excuse after excuse for the long continued losing. So boys, where were you last night???? All this quitting, all this pathetic effort, and all this losing, sure showed the results last night when you could plainly see far more Pens fans than Jacket fans inside Nationwide. Its time for most of the loud mouth Jacket fans put their money where their flapping pie hole is, and start buying tickets every night. Hall your bleeping butt off the couch and buy tickets. Dont even think about getting on here and running off at your pie hole, until you are one of the fans that buys tickets every single home game. ENOUGH of the fans excuses. Its bad enough we have to listen to Howson and all his pathetic excuses for not improving this roster. Last night was a display of third grade weak hockey at its core best!! So where is the effect that this new coach was supposed to have???? Money where your mouth is Jacket fans!!!!!!!!!!

When one thinks it can;t get any worse, well up jumps the devil. A total collaspe looks to be the future for the club. This organization as well as the arena district has to be about done. Investors and property owners have to be (or should be) very nervous.

I miss the Chill. It was an affordable experience with an enthusiastic team and a packed arena. The Blue Jackets and the NHL offer lackluster performances that I wouldn't want to see even if were affordable.

Fragile psyche? What the f&@k is that? What are they, a bunch of kindergarteners? And when Nash mentions that they are in a "slump", when is lack of effort considered a slump? After watching the last five "games", I've seen better effort from squirts and peewees that are half the age of these so called "professional" hockey players. A switch to a new captain would be a good start for this team. I suggest it be Umberger. He seems to be the only one on the team that gives a shite.

hey don't worry -- I did my part down at Nationwide last week vs the Preds. I bought a new CBJ hat with that Civil War cannon on it. Based on what I am reading here sure looks like there's another Civil War brewing!!! Does the team vote on captainship?

Immediate firings should be in order for whatever fool allowed two fans wearing Penguins gear to ride the Zamboni on home ice during intermission... Yeah, half of the crowd is made up of them, but show a little bit of pride and common sense, you freaking morons.

Where was your overworked mouth when your Pens were drawing 11,000 a night and closer to bankruptcy than the Jackets are now? Oh, what an awesome sports town. You got handed your league superstar by a ****ing lottery ball machine. F off.

You are correct, the pens were close to failing, but new ownership came in and used the high draft picks wisely and signed the right free agents and guess what full new arena and another Stanley Cup the CBJ needs new ownership with Hockey skills the hiring of Doug McClean was the beginning of the end for the CBJ because any new ownership would leave Columbus in a heartbeat lousy lease lousier attendance what a shame but on the bright side Minnesota lost a team in 1993 and got another back 7 years later.

Lack of offense. Check. Lack of defense. Check. Lack of specialty teams. Check. Lack of speed. Check. Lack of effort. Check. Hey, I recognize this team!

Good thing Howson ran a Stanley Cup winning coach out of town. And the only guy to even get them to the playoffs.

However, this team can still be competitive. In the ECHL.

A what point are the Jackets actually going to get a captain that is an actual captain. Nash isn't it, there is no leadership on the team and it shows up every year. There is no Hitch to blame this year just a bunch of soft hockey players who better wake up.

Well, Columbus, see how Pittsburgh embarrasses state of Ohio in football and hockey? That's what happened me after, and that cost me the 2007 National Championship. Oh, by the way...Ohio sports sucks. And why don't you hire that bald guy JOE THE PLUMBER as your new Blue Jackets coach? GO BLUE.

You know I am no longer Governor when...
1. LeBron comes back to Cleveland and wins
2. The Bungles and Clowns have another losing season
3. The Indians have the worst team in the AL
4. The Reds get their heads kicked in by the Phillies
5. Pittsburgh fans come in to Browns Stadium and Paul Brown Stadium, and the Steelers win
6. Pittsburgh Penguins fans come in to Nationwide Arena and their foul odor makes the Blue Jackets lose.
Excuse me while I leave this state and never come back. The pungent odor of our major league sports teams is causing me to get the swine flu.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
