Debora, Ashley, and mom will soon see that the Flyers got the better end of the deal on this trade. Voracek and Couterier (that's the Center the Flyers selected with CBJ's 8th pick in the first round, for all you Columbus hockey geniuses) are an awesome return for Carter. Having watched Flyers hockey for the last 3 decades and Jeff for the last 6 years, you're welcome to him. You'll learn soon enough!

Nice post Flyers fan. Have you watched Jake Voracek play? And wasn't Carter the Flyers leading scorer the last two seasons?

That said, with the way that Howson drafts, giving up the 8th pick for a proven NHL player is the only route they could have gone. This club can't develop talent and they certainly can't use the draft, so I'm ecstatic with this move.

That #8 pick the Flyers just took was considered, back in January, as the top rated prospect. This may really hurt in a few years, if he lives up to the hype.

Carter was rated as the Flyers 3rd center and was being passed by a couple of youngsters on a deep team. He is a goal scorer but sometimes disappeared defensively. Maybe being traded will make him play with " a chip on his shoulder" and become a great all around player. As a Flyers fan I always thought he was capable of scoring 50 goals a year.
