There's the Howson we all know. For a second there I thought we might have turned a corner. Back to reality...our GM sucks.

Give us Fans a Break. Howson has got to go. What a contract for 2.2 million? Please...... Yet you dont want to resign Scottie Upshall? This team will be in the basement again. TSN was right Columbus will again be at the bottom of the NHL.

Howson was looking for a right handed defenseman for a 1 year contract in order to keep the young defensemen in Springfield in order for them to develop more. CBJ has a history of bringing players up too early. I assume Martinek passed his physical, averaged 21 minutes per game over 64 games, and was only a -5 on a bad Islanders team. He is worth the risk. Remember Klesla, he was only healthy for 34, 26 & 61 (CBJ & PHX) games from 2008-2011.$2.2 mil is acceptable for 1 yr; no long term commitment.

Now that the "real" hockey experts have weighed in, maybe they should check to see what others around the league think of this signing...especially considering the team's goal of bringing up their D prospects soon. It's entirely possible this move is a bust, but no one really knows for sure, do they?

Isn't this guy just Mike Commodore without red hair? I thought Howson had gotten past hiring the pre-beer league geezers?

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Cancer

If you want to make changes to your working environment or career prospects, do your best to get on with your colleagues today. It's a powerful Lunar Eclipse, so the Moon-ruled could encounter opposition as the knives come out. Perhaps someone objects to the way you're doing things, or maybe they're just plain jealous. Ensure that you're acting in everyone's best interests and not just your own, or you'll really land in hot water!
