Owen Nolan's 170-foot goal saves the day for Wild

Full story: TwinCities.com

A weird season for Wild winger Owen Nolan added another peculiarity this week. Nolan, who led the Wild in goals with 25 last season, is a five-time all-star who has 409 career goals and once scored two within eight seconds during the NHL All-Star Game.

I think it says a lot about Owen Nolan when he accepts a fourth line assignment without having a temper tantrum. He could easily pull a "don't you know who I am?" and not do what his coach asks of him. Would Andrew Brunette be able to handle being put on the fourth line? Owen might not be scoring a lot of goals right now, but I wouldn't rush to think it's because he's nearing the end of his career. He's playing with a bunch of players who don't have his skill and experience. Get some talent on this team and the goals will come.

I totally agree about seeing Owen in front of the net. His physical play makes him fun to watch. Not like some players who hide behind the net because they don't want to get hurt in front of the net.

Andrew Brunette could handle being on the 4th line. Could Marion Gaborik have handled it?

Not bad for an old man! Too bad the youngsters can't learn from him.

Too bad the youngsters don't want to learn from Owen. Considering that he's been in the NHL longer than Andrew Brunette, and is an all-around better player than Andrew Brunette, he really is an asset to the Wild.

Daily Horoscope for November 25

Libra

The Moon blends well with Mercury, letting your intuition lead you to success. Go with a hunch today and see where it leads you; this is one of those times when your analytical mind will only get in the way. It may be a little harder to express yourself, but there's something to be said about using fewer words to convey your meaning.
