Belak, Kreps re-signed by Panthers

It took the Panthers a long time to acquire an enforcer last season, so they made sure they wouldn't have to spend this summer trying to find a replacement for Wade Belak .

I, for one, am glad to see Wade back in the fold. The pieces are starting to fall into place.....

I have very little faith that he will get Frolik signed, as well as Bou.

Yeah, same as everyone had very little faith that Weiss, Allen, and Horton would get signed last year, right?

Signing Weiss and Horton means nothing if you can't get them to perform. As for these signings, basic moves, nothing to go crazy about. Signing Bouw and Frolik is waaaay more important. Lets see what happens.

Not surprised they were signed first. They're good depth signings, and as we can see with Tampa, depth is very important.

No brainer signings. Martin would have moved that much closer to his long overdue firing without locking up these guys. <sign>.... we can dream can't we?

I don't get what all the hupla is about. Michael Frolik, Brady Calla and Michael Caruso don't excite me at all. I've seen them play and unless they blossom into something special we're talking more Shvidki, Brine, Glass and Stewart kind of players. In other words, career AHLers at best. Keaton Ellerby and Shawn Mattias are the only decent NHL caliber prospects we have in the pipeline. If either one of them busts we can pretty much kiss playoffs bye-bye for a long time.

You'd be the only one who doesn't expect much out of Frolik. He's called "Baby Jagr" for a reason Baron, and it's not because he has a Jagr-like attitude.

I've seen Frolik play as well, and with a good offensive and transition system around him (not the crap we had last season), he's capable of being a consistent threat and the scoring winger we really need on Olli's line.

Please...Ive seen Frolik play several times, and he is by far the best prospect this team has ever had. He is no way a Shvidki. Repik is another prospect who has shown to step it up greatly when his team was in the playoffs. If you think that Ellerby and Matthias are the only "decent NHL caliber prospects" we have, then you obviously havent seen the other two play. Matthias was mid ranked prospect before he was traded here.

I don't know much about him. I've never seen him play so I'll reserve any judgement on him.

Looks like some clowns would rather trash posters using fake monikers than talk about hockey. Nothing new. It only confirms you know nothing about hockey. Troll.

Regardless of signing Martin is a cancer and nobody under him will EVER work too hard.(who's the Coach?...Martin's answer: no big issue)

About the not knowing about hockey thing, who's the one who said Frolik isn't worth much?

Which couldn't mean that he's waiting to til the World's are over, could it? Seeing as how Burns is a coach there and he just may want to talk to him. No, couldn't have anything to do with that.

Same with Bouw, he's at the World's. He and his agent didn't want to talk until the offseason, and now he's in the World Championship, probably why nothing's been done yet. Not a big surprise.
