Jim Jones: You don't educate anyone. YOU are the hockey novice who is being educated by the interactions on the blog. People like you just don't get it when you have constantly been put down. Normal, thinking people get it and either leave or they realize they are being made the fool of by almost everyone who reads their ego driven nonsense. And you certainly do not know hockey. Thank goodness you have not been on here all year newbie.

Comcast has an exclusive local deal with the Blackhawks. VS. is blocked out for that reason in the local market. Petition Blackhawks marketing if you want it to change but I wouldn't get your hopes up any time soon. Frankly, it's just nice to have the 'hawks on TV at all for a change. PS: this is pretty common practice in most markets. RamRod wrote: <quoted text> I've converted off ComCast for reasons such as this. When I was with them, it was a good idea to do a search on the Blackhawks, the day before the game and found that there were a lot of alternative channels that take the CSN feed and provide it locally, some HD, some not, some subscription or PPV, some free, etc. Don't get locked in to Versus.

But...Dallas got Niewendyk in the deal and won Stanely Cups. How many does Iggy have? That trade was one of the best deals in league history for both teams. paul wrote: <quoted text> D'accord. I have been watching him since he was a 17 year old junior at the world junior championship. He would look great with the Indian on his chest. I bet Dallas is sorry they traded his rights to the Flames.

Niewendyk and Gary Roberts were two standup guys that gave every game all they had. When they were in Toronto they almost made the Leafs worth watching. Iginla is cut from the same mold as both of these guys. The Niewwndyk- Iginla trade worked out for the best for both teams.

I think they are because they are an original six,and because it has been a long wait for Blackhawk fans,As a leaf fan( yes I was dropped on my head when I was a child) my support is for the Blackhawks all the way.Keep the faith Chicago.

I hate the way Roberts retired from a respect standpoint. I hope both the Leafs and the Flames honor him properly. paul wrote: <quoted text> The trade made sense for Dallas at the time and it sure paid off when they won the cup. He is a character guy, a fitness freak, can be a real presence in the dressing room. We have a young team and in my very humble opinion (I mean that sincerely) he would have been a settling influence when things got dicey, he has been around the game all his life and he could show the young guys a great example to follow. You are right about lack of respect from the Leafs. When that puke Ferguson litterally threw him out I lost what very little respect I had for the Leafs. I hope those losers never see the playoffs in this decade and never see a cup in this century.

Pisss off and keep your lame put downs to yourself ,hayseed Chico was PO at Jim Jones mainly because the guy comes on the post and doesn't say much about the game as such. The guy usually comes on with meaningless trash talk that doesn't add much to a thread. I welcome Flames fans to the postings because for the most part they are knowledgeable fans and enthusiastically support their team. A bit of trash talk is part of the exchange sometimes but when all you get from one source is trash talk it can get tiresome. Me,I just ignore the guy and scroll past his posts. Too bad its like that because he is probably a knowledgeable fan. Chico has been involved in the game all his life as a player and a coach and makes positive contribution the these threads over the whole season. As far as your hayseed remark is concerned I am sure he has heard worse over the years. Anyway if you chose to be in the Jim Jones camp a bit of advise. Be sure to pass when they serve the Kool Aid.

That and 2.50 will get Chico on the bus, nobody gives a rats assss how long he's been involved in the game, 10 years or 10 minutes. Its a publc forum, everyone has the right to post w/e they feel like. Positive, negative, neutral. His holier than though attitude means zero because unless he's Chico Maki, he doesnt know any more or less than anyone else on this forum from what I can see. Go and bill him 90 bucks for being his mouthpiece though, im sure he appreciates it

Chico was calling out a jerk. Like you say it is a PUBLIC Forum. practise what you preach. Chico doesn't need a mouthpiece but it seems like you feel that chuch you are defending does. Read the whole post and perhaps you will understand why . There are a lot a great fans from different teams on these posts all season. Trash talk is part of the banter and is expected. Most people that come here offer comments on the game and it is good to hear their views. Your pal JJ just wants to come on a post and be a jerk so when he gets called out you feel you have to come to his aid. Seems like you didn't pass on the Kool Aid after all.

Scooby, A Certain guy always feel the need to post his " hockey credentials" every time he posts which is amusing because he never was paid to play the game. So what "expert analysis" can he really provide? But because he gives back to the game (coaching )I rarely jump on him. There are certain parallels in the game at each level but the "show" is a whole differnt game .The board is for everyone from bender to pro GO HAWKS
