Bunch of crap here.....Diving? you gotta be kidding. Lets call the penalties the way they should be called. Leave the kid alone, you're all jealous that you can't skate like Sid.

ELT, you must've been sleeping when you wrote your comment, because unless you've never watched him, I can't see how you think he doesn't dive. He's a great skater and can run over half the league with his size, so how does he go down so easy with all that skill?

Apparently Flyers rule must have just got done hitting the crack pipe. At a very generous 5'11' and 200 lbs, I don't see Crosby "running over" too many players in the NHL. Penguins in 6.

Yup, that was some good crack. It's not his ht. or wt., it's the strong lower body. You don't think he checks strong?

I think the series will depend on the call made and whether or not the Flyers can rise above them like they have been doing. I can't wait to see Cry-baby-Crosby smashed into the boards then throw one of his temper tantrums. Penalty calls or not. Flyers in 7 (because of the favorable calls to the Pens).

I don't think that Crosby hits that hard, Malkin, however, is a different story. I'm sure you didn't watch the entire Rangers-Penguins series as I did, but if you had, you would know that there was ONE call that was questionable with regards to Crosby "diving".

To all those Flyers fans, remember, your "hot" goalie has the worst save% and GAA of the remaining playoff goalies. He should be fine against the more talented Penguins...

I'll reiterate, Penguins in 6.

the Pens are more talented than the NUMBER 1 SEED habs? I think not. The Pens would have been number 1 if that were true.

Flyers in an easy sweep over a highly overrated pigpen team is how it will go.

The Pens definitely have the advantage I think are the stronger team w/ the offensive weapons they possess, however the Flyers are right there with them with the Briere, Prospal line. Not to mention our 4th line is playing outstanding along w/ Marty's goaltending. I got my fingers cross and i'm ready for tomorrow night already.

Wow, this article isn't biased at all (please note the sarcasm). The fact is Sidney Crosby is the best player in the NHL. To say he is intimidated by the Flyers is giving the Flyers too much credit. He has put up outstanding numbers against Philadelphia, scoring more points against the Flyers than any other team. It is going to be a difficult, if not impossible task for the Flyers to stop the Penguins top three lines, which are centered by young superstars Sidney Crosby, Geno Malkin, and Jordan Staal. It appears as if the Philadelphia media and fans are already looking for excuses, referring to allegations of Crosby diving. The fact is that Crosby plays at a very high level every second he is on the ice. When trying to cut through the defense while flying up the ice, it is possible to lose your balance and go to the ice when contacted, especially if that contact is illegal. The Flyers players and coaches need to be focused more on strategy in how to defend two spectacular Penguins scoring lines, rather than complaining about penalties. Speaking of which, if the Flyers have any chance of winning, they need to stay out of the penalty box. With the Penguins powerplay as dangerous as it is, the Flyers cannot afford to take penalties like they have so far in these playoffs.

Who is the faster team? I believe they are pretty equal. Who hits harder? Easy... Flyboys. It's been a very long time since the Flyers had any team speed. Now they among the fastest teams in the league. Add the crushing checking game and the Flyers take it in NO MORE than 6. Split the first 2 in PBurg, win the next 2 in Philly, series wrapps in Philly in game 6. I respect Malkin, Crosby Sucks!

"Crosby and Malkin can be intimidated only if the refs don't allow them to turn the conference finals into a tryout for their Olympic diving teams."

OK, as long as the refs don't in turn allow the Flyers to turn the conference finals into a tryout for their Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling teams with all the clutch-and-grab tactics they've had to use against great players like Crosby and Malkin in the past.

Pens in six.

HHmmm... acocording to NHL.com , it would appear that Alexander Ovechkin is currently the best palyer in the league with 65 goals, 47 assists in 82 games played. Crosby tallied 24 goals and 48 assists in 53 games. Exactly what league are you referring to?
Now here is the reality of your poor situation: The Flyers shut down Ovechkin in 5 games. Do you think your boy will garner any kinder treatment? I think not. Again Flyers in 6.

Apparently, you are not watching playoff Hockey. Every time a stick curves around any body part, hooking is called. It's not just the Flyers, it's every team. Face facts, hockey is a contact sport, hitting is an integral and crucial part of the game.
