I don't doubt it. If Horton or Weiss end up playing for an elite club, they'll do very well. Like many former Panthers, they won't have a choice. Huselius is very talented, but also needs to play on a motivated team. Not the Florida "let's play when we feel like it" Panthers.

You just gave a four year contract to a guy in the most important position in your organization who's NEVER done the job before, and who you just FIRED from a subordinate postion? Holy crap, where do I get my application to work for you?!?

This sounds wacky if you do it once. You've done it TWICE! Why do you keep firing people for incompetence and failure at one level and than re-hire those same people to supervise the position they were just fired from?? How did you ever become rich in the first place?

I have to disagree. These guys only underperform because they have been, for their whole careers, under-coached. It's hard to motivate yourself to take the pain when your coach and your management couldn't care less, and you have a weak leader on the ice. These guys, especially Steve & Nate, can be studs. You trade them to Detroit, you wouldn't even recognize them.

Jay & Olli DESERVE a better team and a better environment, so while there loss WON'T be compensated for and will further doom this team, I'll actually be happy for them. It doesn't look like they'll ever have a chance here.

This is good news. JM should focus on being a GM and bring in a good coach. The Cats have a beautiful facility to play in, good fans, and with the right moves this team will be on the move up next year. Go Cats.
