Alaafin of Oyo: The fears and grand delusions of a modern emperorOYIN ...

Full story: Nigeriaworld

I wish to put up a caveat in advance that I am not out to belittle or 'piss' on history and our revered traditional institutions as some cynics may want to allege, I am only out to reinforce the ongoing clamour ...

At the onset, it appears that you and your Koleosho family bastards are among the Yoruba bastards hired by Sijuwade to desecrate the revered throne of Alaafin. Koleosho family in Shaki was notorious for anti-Yoruba progress. Was it not your father (Michael Koleosho) a failed State Secretary to Oyo State Government that collaborated with Lam Adeshina (another Yoruba bastard of Igbira descent turned Ibadan man) to implement the kangaroo Oloko report to desecrate Yoruba tradition. He and his Igbira accomplice are now running from pillar to post in search of political relevance. What is Alaafin Adeyemi’s offence that you all form a coalition against him? Is it a crime that he promoted Okere, Aseyin to the position of vice Oba chairmanship that was never in their contemplation several years ago? Until Alaafin promoted your Okere and Aseyin, they were nothing to be reckoned with. Prior to their elevation in the Council of Obas, Oke-Ogun monarchs were considered inconsequential elements until Kabiyesi Iku Baba Yeye Alaafin Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III corrected the injustice and approved their promotion to the same rank with Olubadan and Soun. Was it not the failed Ladoja that castigated Oke Ogun monarchs as lesser chiefs inferior to Olubadan. Oba Adeyemi stood in defense of your helpless fathers to correct Olubadan and his stooges that your moarchs are on the same part II of the Oyo State Chieftaincy hierarchy. Yet you remain an ingrate by insulting the person that stood for your hopeless monarchs. What annoy me most were your fabrications about Akala car gift that Alaafin rejected? You stated that Alaafin’s reason was that the car he was given was similar to the one that Soun and Olubadan received. You are a bloody liar. Alaafin rejected the car gift because according to him, there was no need for Akala to distribute official cars to monarchs while they had not been given any official assignment to perform. He educated Akala to inaugurate the Council of Obas in line with the law before distributing the cars. At that time, Alaafin was fighting for your Oke-Ogun Obas that were excluded from the gifts and whom Ladoja refused to pay salaries during the period that he unilaterally dissolved the Council of Obas illegally- a potent weapon for Adedibu that aided Ladoja impeachment. Alaafin insisted that other vice-chairmen (Olugbon, Eleruwa, Okere and Aseyin) also deserve to be accorded the same recognition like Olubadan and Soun. He fought for Oke-Ogun monarchs that were neglected by past administrations. Today, most of your Obas that joined TCTC buses to attend Council of Obas meeting, now have befitting cars as very important monarchs. Yet you and your Koleosho still want to crucify Alaafin. Olubadan, Soun, yourself and Koleosho descendants should be grateful to Almighty Allah for using Alaafin Adeyemi to elevate your inconsequential monarchs in the Council of Obas. Besides, what does Oke-Ogun stands to gain or lose if Alaafin’s consenting authority is abrogated? You have not provided instances where the consenting authority was abused. But because you do not have a royal blood in veins and none of your ancestors had genuine historical background, you resorted to blackmailing the one and only true custodian of Yoruba culture. Instead of showing gratitude to your benefactor, you resorted to blackmailing the revered monarch that showcased your royal heritage to the world that did not believe that any Oba existed in Oke-Ogun several years before now.

The Oyo State Oba's should mind their traditional royal responsibilities and get less involve in politics. Politics they say it is a dirty game. All the happenings are politically motivated.
