Ex-Titans QB McNair, woman shot to death in Nashville

The LA Times story has not joined the media whitewash and is reporting this as a murder-suicide.

Very interesting to view the reader comments at Tennessean.com . Half the comments say he unfortunately brought on his own back luck by cheating on his wife. The other half say, mind your own bidness, maybe he prayed and Jesus saved his soul in those seconds between the bullets entering his body and his death.

Kinda reminds me of the Long Beach Topix commenters.

Possible suspects:

1. McNair's wife.

2. The girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. Sounds like he was still carrying a torch, he claimed he had been dating her since she was 15.

3. The condo roommate. Uhh, why would a weathly ex-NFL star need to rent a condo with a roommate? it's not like he's a college student.

4. Someone from the GF's family, maybe a Persian "honor killing"?

One news story said no gun had been found, another one said the gun was right next to the GF's body.

Murder suicide is what it says to me. McNair was an excellent athlete.

I never like to see people go before their time, but this is the kind of thing that happens when you stray away from your marriage. A good Christian would not have been in that situation, which is now looking like a murder/suicide.

As to #3 I don't think they were roommates but rented the apartment as partners to make extra money. Obviously, it seemed like the place to bring your girlfriend on the side...Hmmmm.
