I am not sure if I would call it a cheap shot. It was a bit rough, but not cheap.

The NFL will come after the Vikings one way or another. Kevin Williams was flagged for the grabbing of the face mask but come on, it didn't require a fine! What a joke! Put pansy flags on all QBs! And we all make fun of the kickers? Ha!

Ray Lewis got fined a mesley 25K for a hit that could have ended Johnson's career but Williams gets a fine for a minor grab of the face mask! He was reaching to make a tackle, he wasn't diving head first at a helpless player!

The Vikings are 5-0 but will never get any credit or respect for doing so. They say the Ravens are going to beat the Vikings (I don't see it happening) but if by chance the Vikings do beat the Ravens, it will get turned around as the Ravens are having a down year, not that the Vikings beat a good team. It gets old! Then again, you can blame the fact the Vikings can't get a new stadium because they don't play below average budget ball like the Twins! Lol

Ya know.....all these fines and lame a s s rules have really gotten out of hand, and it's really getting old.

Does the NFL honestly think that by finning someone who makes Millions of dollars every season, a few thousand dollars really breaks their heart? Seriously.

I agree that the league has it in for the Vikes. Part of it is our inability to get a stadium done. Part of it is the Williams Wall resistance to the suspension efforts by the league. I have a sick feeling (which longtime Vikes fan wouldn't?) that they'll get us yet, one way or another. Probably a phantom holding call late in a key playoff game. This fine, in particular, seems excessive.

Apparently the league needs all the revenue it can create. It's the same as cops abusing Protect and Serve to create and fulfill quotas for speeding tickets.

The Williams wall in under the microscope...face mask penalties look bad, but they don't cause serious injuries. The direct helmet-to-helmet hits, the horse collar tackles, or the low-side knee chops are the career ending type of hits.

Can anyone name a player that had his career ended by a face mask tackle??????????

Bogus! Even the announcers on Sunday said it was incidental contact. I will acknowledge that there was contact, but it sure wasn't intentional contact.
It was more of a matter of KW's arm being extended while he was engaged with a O-lineman and the QB sort of running into the arm.
Yeah, contact....but sheesh! This isn't badminton.
But at the end of the day, he can probably afford it.

He seems to be getting away with using illegal substances and the politically correct league needed to send a message.

Another clueless idiot talking about something he apparently knows nothing about..........take the time and explain us with your "illegal substance" reference. They have done nothing illegal at all.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Taurus

Friends and partners aren't behaving as you would like today. They're eager to go their own way, much to your annoyance. In order to get round this you're going to have to ask yourself some tricky questions, such as whether you're trying to control everyone's behavior or whether they're being inconsiderate in wanting to do their own thing. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so maybe you should all release the tension by making it a super New Year's Eve celebration?
