The best in the NFL when the season is over with??? Wow ill be the first to admit its nice to see improvement from last year so we all can thank Favre for that but to say they are anything above average at this point is ridiculous
Dude, you totally just misquoted that guy's post!

He said he thinks this receiving corps will be known as one of the NFL's best by THE END OF THE SEASON. That's a long way from now. He didn't say they're at that point today.

On that point, I agree with the original poster. These receivers (Berrian and Rice) are likely far better than even THEY themselves realize. Being on a team with a confident, poised QB is allowing them to catch enough passes to actually establish a rythym, and it's showing as they look better from one week to the next.

As for Harvin, he's a rookie who already outplays half the starting receivers in the league. No telling how good he'll be as season's end. Right now, there's a major national sportswriter who ranks him as the #1 rookie in the league, ahead of Sanchez and all others. Not too bad.

im glad to see they are playing good hard nosed football and not giving in to the wildcat. i agree they have to be more determined to finish games when they have the lead. they should never have let GB catch up as much as they did. st. louis was able to run the ball but jackson is a beast of a back but that still concerns me. cant wait to see how the vikes offense does against the baltimore D. i know our defense will throw them a beatdown. vikes #1

<quoted text>I've been trash talking the Vikings all week in anticipation of sunday's game against the Ravens. However, after getting schooled by that Brett Favre guy and watching all of ESPN's replays of the last two Ravens losses, I have to say, I've changed my tune. There's just no way Baltimore can keep up with the Vikings on either side of the ball. Sucks to admit it, because I'm totally a Ravens homer. Ahh, well. It is what it is. FINAL SCORE: Vikings 42, Ravens 10. You heard it here first!

I believe it was the great Bud Grant who used to say, It is not who you play but when you play them." The 3-0 Ravens are on a 0-2 slide and they are used to winning. They will be coming out very focused and ready. This does not mean that the VIKES will loose, but they are going to have to play their best game to date to do so.(If the Ravens had won last week it would be an easier game.) Both pass D's are overrated.

Actually now is the time to play Baltimore. They have lost their confidence and if we can get up early we can force them into submission. Their losses on Defense are really showing now.
My conern is Birk. No not for his play but because of his knowledge of our blocking schemes. Eventhough he couldn;t execute them he still studied them. This inside info could hurt our abitlity to protect PJ4 and open holes for AD.

matt birk and his knowledge of blocking schemes should be the least of anyones worries. its gonna come down to the ravens doing everything they can to stop AD leaving man to man coverage. we were not able to see this last year due to the fact we did not have a qb who could hit a receiver even in man-man coverage. we now have that much needed qb and receivers who can get open. they will wear the ravens defense down in an ugly way and rack up at least 35 points opposed to the ravens 17

Their recievers aren't the best in the league, Mason is great but other than that, someone posted on another thread we need to jam the recievers more at the line, this would be a good game to attempt this.

The Vikings have had success with Percy , but he and everyone for that matter is waiting for 10++ plays tto be deisigned for him. The wildcat is not the only way to use him, we need to get him the ball; he is on heck of a playmaker and I think Baltimore will be the game that introduces Percy to the rest of the NFL! GO VIKES SUPERBOWL is definitely in our forecast

sidney rice is staying healthy and harvin is back in practicing. berrian will be more on the same page as favre. with favre throwing this receiving corpe will be ranked in the top ten but thats about as good as they will be. the running game they have is allowing the receivers some open space and that is what is making them so dangerous being they have a qb who can read those defenses and pick them apart. this will be another great game and guarantees not to be a bore. vikings defense will show the ravens how its really done and the score will show it. vikes all the way baby
