Jets Pull Off OT Stunner Over Steelers

Full story: The Associated Press

The New York Jets silenced the Terrible Towels and stunningly left the field winners for the first time in almost two months.

With thousands of Pittsburgh fans in Giants Stadium waving their yellow Steelers towels, Mike Nugent kicked a 38-yard field goal 5:03 into overtime to give the Jets an unlikely 19-16 victory Sunday.

The winning kick broke a six-game losing streak for the Jets (2-8), who stormed the field after the victory and celebrated in a huge circle around Nugent.

Thomas Jones had 117 yards on 30 carries, becoming the first running back in 35 games to reach 100 yards against the top-ranked Steelers defense. Leon Washington set up the win by returning a punt 26 yards to the Steelers 26. Read more

The "RATS" pardon me Jets really didn't win a game ,,it was a lucky fluke and we all know it! I don't see anyone rushing that snitch Mangini for his autograph .

I'm a Steeler fan but they didn't luck out yesterday. The Steelers just were playing like they should have been.

HA HA HA It was late when I posted this. I meant to say that the Jets didn't luck out in any way. The Steelers just didn't show up to play on Sunday. It was a deserved win for the Jets. They were hungrier than we were.

For some dam reason the steelers play up or down to their opponents. It's a good thing the playoffs feature the best teams, if they stuck in some losers we surely would be one and done.

...yea they kinda stuck it to us. That team definitely showed us that they have just a little more intensity/brute force than we have...it's not much, but apparently enough. They have been very unlucky this year...they could easily be 11 and 0...so overall we should be pleased.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Sagittarius

It's time to muster all your resources and energies and push through to the next level. The harmony between Mars and Saturn will support your efforts. If you need to dig deeper into shared resources or your credit facilities, now's the time to do so. With careful planning and perhaps family support, you can consolidate and somehow find greater security. This is a calculation not a risk though.
