I agree with most on here about getting rid of Arians and Ligeshesky but let me play devil's advocate here. The first thing that is going to be brought up in regards to Arians' putrid play calling is that we have two 1,000 yd receivers this year plus the fact that Big ben just had the most passing yards EVER for a Steelers QB. Supporters will use the excuse that is he was that bad how did we achieve those things but I say that they need to look at our piss-poor red zone offense and those great calls when we run the ball up the gut and then when it's 3rd and short, we just decide to go for an asinine pass play and let Ben get himself sacked like we've seen so many times. Clean house on Arians, Ligeshesky for sure and PLEASE get rid of Reed and beef up our secondary!!

I will say that Polamalu played a big part of our defense getting smacked around this year. If football was only 3 quarters, we'd be 16-0 LOL!!! Our 4th quarter team on both sides of the ball always seemed to just zone out and we looked pitiful. We lost like what, 7 games by 3 points or less and if Jeff Reed could have made just one field goal or maybe not whiff on a tackle after a kickoff, maybe the other team scores a FG or not at all because of field position. About the discipline, I totally agree with all the remarks on here about the lack of discipline, what Tomlin needs to do is have his Cowher/Lloyd and put his foot down.

Fire bruce arians at the very least! Why tomlin didn't do that is a mystery to me. We'll see how he does in 2010.

So this is where the racist droolers with the collective brain power of a sea scallop hang out. OF COURSE they're not going to fire Tomlin. The Steelers' success has been rooted in finding a great coach and sticking with him even when things are rough. Tomlin has almost nothing to do with this latest meltdown--blame Colbert for missing on so many O-linemen in the draft. Tomlin's only fault is that he's sometimes a little too loyal to starters who don't deserve to play so many downs (i.e., Willie Parker, Rashard Mendenhall), and assistants who aren't getting the job done (Arians, and in the past, Ligashesky and Zierlein). He remains a master motivator who combines a "player's coach" rapport with hardass standards, and he's come very close to earning the right to stay here as long as he wants to.

The offensive line must get it together so that the running game can be better.

Fire Tomlin? Pittsburgh fans can be a capricious bunch. I remember a few years after the Steelers won their 4th superbowl, followed by what for most teams would be a couple average seasons, people wanted to fire Chuck Noel. Prior to Noel, the Steelers were a joke. I think Tomlin has made some mistakes, like anybody else, but wanting to fire him at this point is just flaky. He's doing just fine and presents a lot better image than Cowher did.
