Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams to Re-Relocate to Los Angeles

Not a $&^$#@* chance

HA HA HA!!!! Very funny!!! Although the Rams have failed to sell out home games recently leading to the games to be blacked out, they're NOT leaving St. Louis. And as for the Raiders, Al Davis needs to sell the team to a concern that promises it to stay in Oakland as he's of very bad health (although some in Raider Nation deny the health problems) and he thinks this is 1977 not 2009. As for NFL football returning to Los Angeles? You would have a better chance of the sicko president of Iran yelling "Mazel Tov" than the NFL returning to La-La Land; besides they're happy with the Lakers, USC Football, UCLA hoops and the Dodgers. Question of the day: Who would win a mayoral race between Phil Jackson, Joe Torre, Ben Howland and Pete Carroll?

It is just like the April Fools blog about us trading Michael Bush for Chad Ocho Cinco; The category for the blog is Humor. I started blogging on there under my real name. I normally blog under prediction or opinion tying into the Raiders of course. I've gotten some positive feedback there.

Living in L.A. from 1954 to 1961, as a season ticket holder, moving to Northern California did not change my loyalty to the Rams, even after they moved to St. Louis. I go to see the Rams now when they come to play the 49rs. I might even go to Seattle or Phoenix, if the Rams can field a decent team in the near future. I would travel to L.A. to see them selectively. That being said, I have no confidence they will ever return to Los Angeles.
Los Angeles and California are in bad financial straits and will be so for a long time. The multi-ethnic base in L.A. now identifies with and supports the Lakers, Dodgers, Angels, Trojans and Bruins, and many other sports venues of lesser popularity. With a competitive team, the Rams would be able to attract much more TV exposure in the L.A. Market. There is still enough residual Ram loyalty there for the TV networks to capitalize on.
The Rams moving back to L.A. just makes no sense at all. The politics and the economics present too great a barrier.

It may be what's best for that team since the Lakers dominate basketball so much. Say for instance they move somewhere that doesn't even have a team like Pittsburgh or St Louis and their fan base grows, then they might gain confidence and get better; but as long as the Lakers dominate, the Clippers will just be a forgotten team in LA as long as they are there.
