If you accept the conclusion (and title) of this article it is important to keep this in mind: Ted Thompson hired Mike McCarthy. If TT retains his job following this season and MM does not, Ted will be hiring MM's replacement.

Can you say: "Five more years of losing and failure!" Because that is what will happen. Then Aaron Rodgers (if he survives until then) will leave the Packers for someplace he may have a chance of winning a Super Bowl.

My advice is to encourage TT to draft a replacement for Rodgers now, because I don't believe AR will survive much longer.

Sorry to say they will not be gone. To much $$$ . 4 mill a year for MM ,2 mill a year for TT. Three years left on there extensions. That they should not have gotten after 25-23 in three years.

Poor coaching does play a role, but Minnesota is just a better team right now talent wise. They have impact players that make plays and they have more of those than we do. The penalties and poor execution in the offensive line are our biggest downfall. MM would have to shoulder the blame for this. I blame TT for placing too much importance on the draft and not balancing the younger players with a few older guys. I blame TT for creating a situation where we have little depth and experience on the offensive line and when someone like a Clifton goes down, we have to shuffle most of line for his replacement. Favre takes the Vikings over the top, but drafting a Harvin and bringing in Allen really gave this team some juice. I also blame TT for having no backup to Grant who is reliable and can spell the guy to give us a different look on offense. I do believe Capers and his assistants have done a very good job rebuilding the defense. We have more talent on that side of the ball overall I feel. I have read where people have said Childress outcoached MM both times and I disagree. In both games we have had to play catchup and thus the run gets abandoned, which puts us at a disadvantage when you figure the Vikings pass rush versus our o-line.....no contest and not a good situation for Rodgers.

Not disagreeing. I seem to remember drafting ahead of the Vikings and trading back to take TJ Lang and Jamon Meredith in the 5th round. Another reason we abandoned the rush last week was the 14 carries for 38 yards (not counting Aaron's scrambles). I'd like to think we've re-built the defense, but why are the veterans complaining? We're 9th in points allowed, but it's largely because STL, CLE and DET laid a whopping 20 on us. CIN, CHIC, and MN have scored 114 against us (28.5 a game). We gave up 30 or more in all three losses. Just for comparison, last year's 4-12 team gave up just over 24 pts a game over the entire schedule, yet only surrender 30 or more 3 times all season. You can see why the players are concerned. We haven't played DAL, PIT, SEAT, ARIZ of BAL yet..

Fortunately, TT has kept the Packers sufficiently under the cap to pay off their contracts. However, I believe the Packers should refuse to pay them and remove them for failure to perform under their contracts.

Sorry, you can't do that. I suspect they have done their jobs well under the current contract. Outherwise why did they get an extension?

Don't worry, they'll bring the team around soon enough.

Sorry, that's not possible. It's already too late! Unless you mean the turn for the worse they accomplished.

I didn't say the Packers drafted a good contract with them. Nor did I say they wouldn't have recourse if the Packers refused to pay them. I simply stated my preference that the Packers not buy out the contracts. I want them to have to sue for the money. The way they have screwed the Packers it seems fair.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
