This Yankee fan voted for Delgado, Castillo, Murphy, Wright, Beltran, Church and Schneider to make the all star team! The only 2 non Mets that I voted for were Ibanez and Hanley Ramiriz. I wanted the Mets "stars" to get some national attention!

LMAO! I was only kidding! How did you vote for a pitcher?
I did vote for Wright, Beltran, Tex and Jeter from the NY teams! I tried to be fair and most of my choices were voted in. I picked Kinsler over Pedroia and Cano but the league is full of good 2nd baseman. I picked Mauer, Longoria, Bay, etc but I voted for Abreau as an outfielder as well as Tori Hunter. In the NL I voted for Albert at 1st, Molina, etc in addition to Wright and Beltran.

Yeah Jim just slogging away an Aussie winter cold and wet this year. Working different hours and such. Yanks going great, Sox still holding on by thier fingertips. Who do you like to fill Wang's shoes?

Any of my original choices from back in the spring-Hughes, Aceves or Coke in that order. I think it will be Aceves! How about you?

Doubt its Coke and Aceves is too dangerous in his present role. Mitre from AAA or Hughes is my guess

I've read some good things about Mitre but honestly don't know much about him. Girardi did say it won't be Hughes on Thursday! Because these guys have done such a good job in the BP it just might make sense to bring a SP up from AAA.
With all that young talent that Boston has, why are they leaving Smoltz in the rotation? He's shown nothing and last night the guys doing the game were pointing out how he was tipping his pitches. If they could see it I would think someone in Oakland's dugout could as well!
Be well!

In Smoltz 3 starts he got shelled in one rained out in another and hasn't had bat support in any. I dunno about tipping pitches but if thats the rumor he could use that to his advantage next start. Think trading Penny is the go then bring up the young guys to fill in until Dice-K is ready or Wakefield burns himself out.

The guys in the booth were calling his pitches last night. It had to do with his glove movement.
I'd keep Penny who has done well and surplus Smoltz. Some of their kids are ready so I don't see wasting time with a 40 yr old guy. Dice K is like Wang in that he may never again be ready!
What's with Lowell's hip? Haven't heard much about it!

Hoping Lowell's just got an arthritic condition. Was some trade interest in Wang now gone. Halladay may be in play as Jays seem to be losing steam and can't afford next years payroll...might not be the Yankees lock as a package of 2 starters (Penny Bucholtz Bowden) and spare change(Lugo less salary) probably trumps what the Yanks would have to offer (Hughes Coke Montero) and spare change. Don't know how it goes.

For certain I wouldn't want to see Halladay in Boston. I don't believe the Jays would trade him within the AL East unless they had an offer they just couldn't refuse. With that, Halladay would have to sign with the new team because no one is going to give a bunch of talent to rent him.

They said today they will listen to all offers; dunno if he winds up in Boston but if he winds up in pinstripes the Sox will bid the price until it hurts.Dunno how flexible the Yanks can afford to be it would cost them Hughes and Cervelli to say the least.

Lets just hope Halladay ends up in pinstripes.
