Sorry Mr Dahlberg, it aint gonna happen. That type welcome can happen elsewhere but not in green bay. The local press and the city government, of all people, are whipping the locals into a hate filled frenzy. anything could happen. All this crapola in green bay may even serve to motivate the Vikes to play the best game of the yr.

All I know is, I'm gonna go in there and clobber those Packers! Wait... No I'm not. Well, I'm not really sure. Yeah, I'll do it! Well, let me think about it a little longer...

I love how class is the new mantra for Queens fans to rip on Packers fans. We gave Holmgren a standing ovation when he returned to Lambeau. I would expect the same along with a couple of jeers. There's also nothing wrong with remembering a past of glory whereas the Queens have a past of dissapointment and Super Bowl losses. Great article and I think Packer fans should swallow their pride and give the guy an ovation, no matter what happened he still deserves to be applauded.

Being from the town with the best "baseball" fans, we routinely give ex-players standing ovations. We love the sport and we love the players, regardless of the color of their uniform. Brett just wants to play football, it's not personal, it's for the love of the game!!

I think you need to shut your curd stuffed pie hole. Do not post another idiot post using his name. Number one, it's illegal, and number 2 is deflamatory. Think about it fool.

I doubt he’ll get an ovation. It’s not like we’re just going to cheer for the guy playing the most important position for our rival. Jeez, folks. It’s not even bitterness for most Packer fans, it’s just football. If the rivalries didn’t matter, football wouldn’t be fun. p.s. This columnist is an idiot.

I am from Wisconsin and I was absolutely distraught when Ted would not allow Brett to return to the team despite his waffling. I never really followed football until Favre signed with the Packers, and for years now I have been a rabid football fan (any team, any game). I don't think my fellow Wisconsonites are classy enough to give Brett any kind of ovation when he returns. That's sad! And, if any person claims to be a genuine hardcore football fan, I can't possibly understand why they would not want to watch Favre play the game (at any time, in any uniform). Favre is the very essence of how the game of professional football is supposed to be played. Outside of Wisconsin, try to find another Pro player that does not have tremendous admiration and respect for Brett Favre - and good luck, you're going to be looking for a very, very long time!

You must work at the Turkey plant in Barron, when did Favre SIGN with the Packers(He was traded to the Pack from Atlanta). We don't need the casual Packer fans(Favre fans) speaking for us.

Wow! You just got fired up! YOu must be new here, cause he's been doing that for a few months now. And I really don't think it construes as "illegal".....not on a blog site. By the way, the guy making those posts is a Viking's fan and is a Favre supporter. He just likes to make a few funnies once in a while. It's all good. GO VIKINGS!!!!!

I don't know who you think you are to be telling us how Brett just loves to play. We know that. In fact, we know everything you said and have known it for years before you would ever admit it about Brett. I love him for his enthusiasm for the game. What really bugs me is Teddy and how he handled the situation. It wasn't done very Green Bayish and for that reason I will always be a Favre supporter but never a Viking fan.

What is Class? To retire and then go to the Vikings because they can't find their own savior. That is REALLY class. Of course the Vikings hever had a franchise player and here they are telling us what we should do. He is just another Player in a team with 11 others. He hasn't won you a thing and giving him a standing ovation would only say that we are happy that he is playing for the Vikings. I am a Packer Fan I am not a Brett fan. I have no idea but I think nothing should be done.
