I am a Giant fan first and foremost, but as a Florida resident, I also like the Tampa Bay Bucs and as a former New Jerseyite, I also like the Jets.

Overall, I see the acquisition of Tebow as a low level risk whose potential dividends could exceed the purchase price. I saw enough of Tebow to see that he does have raw talent that needs to be refined if he is going to improve. Tebow does create a positive influence in the locker room which is something the Jets sorely need. If nothing else, Tebow's presence could light a fire under Sanchez if Tebow can show enough to possibly mount some serious competition for the starting job and spur Sanchez into becoming the quarterback he is capable of being. There have been some anonymous complaints among Sanchez's teammates that he is lazy and complacent and may have lost the respect of his teammates. Maybe Tebow is the answer, maybe not.

What is wrong with your reading comprehension. I have simply stated that Tebow has not proven himself to be anybody's savior in pro football while also stating that it is too early to label him as a bust. That hardly qualifies as

Excuse me for cutting my last post as my wife detracted me and I inadvertently posted it prematurely as my wife interrupted me. I will try again without interruptions.

First I will point out that I have not labeled Tebow as the Jet's messiah at QB. All I have said is that it is too early to flat out call him a bust, yet you respond with ranting drivel as if I have labeled him a rousing success in the NFL. What is wrong with your reading comprehension? If Tebow fails, he fails and it is no big deal to me if he does. All I am trying to do is be objective, something that nobody will ever accuse you of being. Tebow's fate will be decided on a football field and not by the either the Tebowmaniacs or Christianophobics.

Teblow is already a bust. Each time that someone goes to a new team, does the clock start all over again? He's no good as an NFL QB. Look at what they're planning for him...he won't start (unless Sanchez falters and all the nuts begin Tebow chants and buying billboards in NY urging that he starts), he'll be relegated as the "QB" for the Wildcat packages. Doesn't that pretty much say the jury's back from deliberating on whether he's any good or not? A) His old team didn't feel the need to keep him around B) His old team was unable to get anything of value in a trade for him C) His new team has publicly stated his role will be as a backup, and finally D) His new team has publicly stated that his role will be in an unconventional capacity for an NFL QB where running, trickery, and misdirection will be used to advance the offense. If it walks, and quacks like a bust....then by golly, it must be a bust. Unless of course........gulp....A MIRACLE FROM ABOVE HAPPENS! HALLELUJAH!!!!

Whether Tebow succeeds or fails ia of no consequence to me as I am not a Tebow fan per se, unlike you who so desperately and obsessively need to see him fail, and you consequently cannot be any more objective than a Taliban sympathizer on the jury in a trial of an Arab Terrorist. I will say that Tebow was apparently not worth a first round choice, at least not to the Broncos, but I am not yet ready to write him off. BTW, the motivation for me to refute you is more out of your utter scorn for my more objective take on Tebow in my saying that the jury is still out on Tebow. It is more personal between you and me tjhan an endorsement of Tebow.

This is what Tim Tebow is capable of, to bad Fox only let him loose in the 4th quarter, this is what these socalled experts are afraid of, especially after writing Tebow off as a QB in the NFL!
Week 7 at Miami: Trailed 15-0 with 5:23 remaining. Tebow was 4-of-14 for 40 yards at that point. In the next 12:59, including overtime, he went 9-of-13 for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Denver wins, 18-15.
Week 11 vs. NY Jets: Trailed 13-10 with 5:54 remaining. Broncos took over at their own five yard-line. Tebow had accounted for 80 total yards in 11 drives. During the ensuing 12-play, 95-yard victory march, Tebow threw for 35 and ran for 57, including the game-winning 20-yard sprint with 58 seconds to play. Denver wins, 17-13.
Week 12 at San Diego: Trailed 13-10 with 5:27 remaining. Broncos start at their own 26 yard-line. Tebow hits Eric Decker for 39 yards on 3rd and 11. Two plays later he connects with Dante Rosario for a 23-yard gain, setting up the game-tying 24-yard field goal, capping a nine-play, 68-yard drive to force overtime. Two Tebow rushes and a 24-yard scamper by Willis McGahee set up a 37-yard field goal for Matt Prater in overtime. Money in the bank. Denver wins, 16-13.
Week 13 at Minnesota: Trailed 29-21 with 9:41 remaining. Tebow finds Demaryius Thomas for 42 yards. After a 24-yard touchdown run by McGahee on the next play, Tebow rushes for the game-tying two-point conversion. Down by three with 3:06 to play, he engineers a seven-play, 52-yard drive in 93 seconds, culminating in a 46-yard field goal by Prater. Tebow completed two passes for 52 yards on the drive. With 1:33 remaining, Minnesota quarterback Christian Ponder was intercepted by Andre Goodman, who returned it to the Minnesota 15, setting up Prater’s 22-yard game-winner as time expired. Denver wins, 35-32. After the game, it was discovered that Tebow made the clinching interception while disguised as Goodman.
Week 14 vs. Chicago: Trailed 10-0 with 4:34 remaining. The Broncos failed to score on their first 12 drives, with seven ending in three-and-outs. Their last three drives? Touchdown. Field goal. Field goal. First, Tebow methodically took them 63 yards on seven straight completions, with the last going to Thomas for a 10-yard score. Miraculously, Denver gets the ball back at his own 20 with 52 seconds left and no timeouts. He calmly marches the offense 39 yards, setting up a 59-yarder for Prater, which he nets, forcing overtime. In the extra session, Tebow completes three passes for 28 yards and rushes for five more, setting up the game-winning kick by Prater, this time from 51 yards out. Denver wins, 13-10.
first off, What Tebow did last year was impressive, but did you notice that every game/team you listed here, not one of them made the playoffs? In fact the only team that was sort of hot out of all these teams were the Dolphins.

Secondly, i see you failed to mention the last 3 games, or any of the losses that Tebow and the Broncos had....I'll list them, without stats.
Blown out by the Lions, Patriots twice, Bills and lost an embarrasing game to the Chiefs 7-3, where all the Denver Tebows had to do was win and they're in. But instead they tanked it, but because of their lousy division, the Raiders blew their last game and the Tebows squeaked in. Tebow played a great game against a banged up Steeler team and won, i'll give him credit....But that's the only win against a team with a winning record the Broncos had in that stretch.

I don't hate Tebow, but you cant go 2-9 for 49 yrds consistently and think that youre going to make the playoffs year in and year out. Tebow's QB rating for the season was 45th overall in the NFl. if my calculations are correct, there's 32 starting QB positions in the league, that means he was worse than every starter and almost half the back ups in the league.....THE JETS CAN HAVE HIM.

Of those who qualified with enough passes to be ranked, There were a few other starters who had lower passer ratings than Tebow. Among QBs with two years or less experience, he was neither the best or worst of them. While Tebow had his great moments, he also had his share of failures. I will continue to say that it is too early to declare him either a success or a failure.

well, up until Tebow was traded to Jets, i was pulling for him. even though i couldn't stand ESPN shoving him down our throats. He's a great competitor, and who doesn't appreciate a guy who never quits. My opinion is he needs to be on a team, with a great offensive minded coach, who is willing to play to Tebow's strengths. i think the Jets are under too much pressure to win because of Rex Ryan's mouth and if both Sanchez and Tebow struggle, they will abandon gadget plays with Tebow and focus on Sanchez and the running game, if the Jets even have a running game anymore.

New York can be one of the most difficult places to play in because they have some of the most merciless and unprincipled sports writers. Your opinion is interesting.

I can rest my case with your reckless declarations. I still do not care avout whether Tebow makes it or not, but I am offended by your reckless disdain of people who try to be objective. BTW, I have also taken a few who prematurely have called Tebow great to task as well.

Shit, as much as I'd like to say he'll flop, Sanchez is notorious for being lazy. If he starts off the year shitty, don't be surprised if Tebow gets a shot at starting.

Timmy & Mark the Castro Distict, I understand your defensive attitude toward Tebow. The fact is that all Tebow can do is win: Win Florida's High School Championship, two National College Football Championships, and the National Football League's AFC West, the first year he gets to lead the Broncos. While the Denver Broncos record in 2010 was 4-12, in the 2011 season they continued their downward slide to 1-4 in 2011. Then Tebow took over as quarterback and the team's record in the 2011 season jumped 9-8 in spite of the Bronco's dismal start prior to Tebow taking over the team's reins. Can you imagine what the Bronco's record would have been if he had been the quarterback the entire season. Like the amusing videos - "All He Can Do Is Win" - at YouTube say, all he can do is WIN.

I totally agree with you man. Catman is cool to debate with but I too think he's in Tebow-denial. The "wait and see" approach is null and void when it comes to an NFL QB. Either you bring enough to work with or you don't. It's not as if Tebow never played football and was recruited by surprise off the streets and tossed into the NFL. He's had a football in his hands since birth and the guy just isn't a passer. He's a decent lobber and he'd win 1st place in a dead duck contest. He can complete the easy routs(high school level)just like anyone else but that's about it outside of just heaving it down field to a fast receiver. He's a big strong guy who'd be better utilized in another position if he can catch. Can he catch?
